And it’s pretty cool , but will I get banned for downloading it? It’s not a hack its just a mod

no one has been banned yet, but i wouldn’t touch those files with a 10 foot pole.
The guy who posted up the code of conduct just proved that you will not get banned for having the custom game type.
You won’t get banned for downloading them, but the person who made them will. If you’re really that worried about it, just don’t download them.
Having a mod downloaded and playing it is not bannable. Distributing mods (via file share) is bannable. So no, you won’t get banned, but he will be.
Is Halo 4 your first Halo? Because everybody on here seems to have a lack of knowledge from previous Halo’s.
I’ve played modded gametypes as early as Halo 3 and still have them on my harddrive, I didn’t make them, I didn’t help make them so if I see it on the filebrowser It’s not my fault for downloading it.
What makes you think they’ll ban YOU just for downloading a modded file? They’ll ban the person who uploaded it. Modded maps/gametypes have millions of downloads, they’d have to ban all of them which they wont do.
You’re not tampering with the game.
You’re not ruining with the game for anyone else.
You aren’t using it in public matchmaking as an exploit.
Therefore you’ve done nothing wrong.
And just a heads up, talking about mods and hacks is not prohibited so ask this thread for a lock before you get yourself a warning/ban
