Why not release Halo 4 one day later on November 7th? I understand that the traditional release date for games/DVDs/albums is on Tuesdays, but why pass up this opportunity? Since the 6th is Election Day, you have a very valid reason for having a somewhat different Wednesday launch. I really think this scenario was perfect for a launch on the 7th.

I might be wrong but Microsoft is probably using the whole election thing as a influence to get Halo 4. I’m not saying they planned this 3 years ago but they might have noticed the date when pre planning around the particular week.
You go out to vote, why not stop by the shops and pick up Halo 4 as well? Clever.

343 Industries is not based in a foreign country. They are here in the good ol’ U, S of A.
They will write their dates M/D/Y and measure things in feet.
After reading a few comment, i must ask for people to watch what they say. This site doesnt need another ‘america vs the world’ argument about dates again…
Because then 7/11 (or 11/7 for non-Americans) wouldn’t be 117 days from the launch date.

It would be foolish to do something special when there’re multiple date formats, especially when it is only used in the United States and they’re selling it in a lot more countries than that, furthermore they have fans located all over the world.
So again, it’d be stupid.
