I know about the statement the 343 rep said. I forgot who it was on twitter but he said all armor can be unlocked via req cards. Everyone was up in arms about Helioskrill being unlockable through money. I am here to tell you that you can not unlock Helioskrill via the req system.
I have everything in the game besides Helioskrill, you can’t get it unless you do the MCC achievement. I’ve gotten countless packs after I maxed out and all I get is req points back. I even thought maybe I could get it with the $9.99 pack out today. Nope.
I actually don’t care for the armor at all. That being said I believe it should definitely stay a perk to those that played through again on Legendary. I did it all once, I don’t want t do it again.
Unless it’s going to be made available through some future special req pack like the HCS pack, it’s not unlockable.

Of course you got it that way, that’s how everybody got it. He’s saying it’s not available in Halo 5 alone via REQs and is ONLY obtainable if you complete the Legend achievement in the MCC, which is counter to what was tweeted out by someone at 343. If this is true, it means that if you have Halo 5 and do not have the MCC, then you don’t get that armor unless you buy that game.

Yup. That’s what I said. You can ONLY get it from MCC’s achievement. So many people speculate that it’s obtainable through buying req packs as well. I’m here to say you can’t so don’t waist your money trying to.

would be way better to be more unique if the only way to get it was to beat all MCC campaign’s on Legendary SOLO. then it would be more prestigious thats how i got mine. because then that would be a show of skill. and not just “hey i got friends to help me”

Yeah which is okay for newer games IMO. Seeing as how the MCC is just a mix of old games though I feel doing it CO-OP is fine as there are no doubt many people who did the old games Solo Legendary but can’t be bothered to do them all again solo for the time consumption.
I got my Helioskrill doing the Legend achievement, however in my collections section it does show that I have it, even though I can wear it. The same thing happened with Nightfall, it’s annoying, but not really a problem.
You shouldn’t be able to get it in a req card imo. It should only unlock ONE way. They should add other stuff you can only unlock from game play so there is stuff that has to be earned.

Two reasons.
You already get cool armor & achievements for MCC by playing MCC.
Halo 5 is Halo 5 not MCC. If anything it should be your reward for beating H5G on legendary.

Lol. I can tell you with full confidence you can’t get it ‘yet’ through the req system. How do I know this? I’ve spent a lot of money on this game. I have everything you can get. I had everything a month ago. I recently thought maybe the $9.99 pack would have it, nope. All I got was a bunch of packs with rp back. Unless they are planning on giving it away in another special promo pack or something, you can’t get it without the MCC achievement.

Yeah, it’s totally believable. I also have everything unlocked and only receive REQ points back whenever I open packs. I also know a few others in the same situation as me.
