Why on earth is there a bunch of customisation available for gameplay planned for Halo 4??!!?!?! The whole POINT of Halo is that everyone starts the same at a round and is decided by picking up weapons and OUTSKILLING your opponents. -Yoink- me solid this is such a waste of a game I can hardly describe the -Yoinking!- pisstake 343 is dumping on us. DMR > BR at long range ? WTF NO. BR = Long and Medium, AR = Close, END OF. We don’t need 3 different guns for different ranges otherwise skill becomes almost redundant !
This crap again geez. First there is nothing wrong with guns being tailored for certain ranges, it allows for varied gameplay. Second I don’t understand this even start arguement. Yes it’s true that players starting out the same are even, but you know what? So is everybody having the same tools to customize. Reach technically had even starts cause if one guy picked armor lock on one team so could someone on the other. Yes Halo 4 has a progression system to unlock things for custom classes but that is irrelevant because 343 has stated preloaded classes for each map will be availible, like Reach, so you are not at a disadvantage and so you also have options if your not a high lvl. Third WE HAVEN’T PLAYED IT YET!!!
Don’t worry, I’m sure it will play just like Halo regardless. According to Killa from MLG, it does play like Halo. All it means is that you can start a game with either an AR, BR, DMR, or Magnum. Seeing as the BR is the best, most are going to choose this anyway. It would be stupid to choose an AR over a BR or DMR.
Yes, I’m slightly concerned but at the same time very interested to see how it plays. And I guarantee there will be a “Classic Playlist” where everyone starts with BRs and there are no AAs. I’d even go as far to say that SWAT and MLG will have BR starts and no AAs (except Sprint), either. All is well.
Honestly if you are madd about people spawning with DMR and BR, than you need to stop playing video games or just play Halo 3. Not that hard. You don’t need to come here all like HUR DUR HALO 4 IZ LEIK THE C0D AND HALO 4 NEED BE LEIK HALO 3!

Halo’s weapons are a sandbox. All weapons have a certain niche, which means different weapons are effective at different ranges. Bungie has ruined this sandbox with every game they’ve made, making a weapon that is efficient at all ranges (CE pistol, BR, DMR). 343 is breaking this disgusting pattern by making both the BR and DMR return. It’s ditching the one-gun gameplay, and I love it.
Also, what’s wrong with loadouts? Yes, Halo is about fighting for POWER WEAPONS, which will still spawn on the map. Nobody fights over the BR that is 2 feet from your spawn, so what’s the problem with adding in custom loadouts?

That’s my main issue here, I wont even be able to test it out before I spend probably £50! It doesn’t sound anything like a true Halo game… AA’s and extra ingame customisation is not Halo ! Everyone should start with the exact same stuff, with no need for extra “ammo” or “speed” it needs to be down to skill.
