You can teamkill your ODSTs in Firefight if Friendly Fire is disabled?

I was playing some Firefight in Instillation 04 and my sniper bullet bounced off the floor and killed 2 ODSTs

I’m pretty sure we would all learn that one of these days…

One bullet, two ODSTs? Dang, that takes skill.

Plus ricochet. But you are saying friendly fire was off, correct?

yeah it was off

I go for Recon, Sprint with DMR. I kill one of the ODSTs for a shotgun and swap out the AR secondary. But thats basically all the ODSTs are good for. If I don’t help them they get murdered by grunts.

Just making sure, your title is cut off. Anyway, when you get a new warthog plus ODST’s it’s all over for the covenant.

I thought the ODSTs were pretty useless on Installation 04. They only stay on the top, and once they’re dead (which doesn’t take long), you only get one more plus a warthog and that’s it for the whole set.

I would have liked more ODSTs and some free-roaming AI.

Well the one that comes with the warthog in the pelican actually gets in so, yeah. If you can keep the warthog and odst alive they are pretty helpful.

Yeah that part is good, but that’s just one ODST. Just one! I want more allies! One of the most fun things I enjoy about reach is giving rocket launchers, fuel rod guns, and sniper rifles to my marines on levels like Long Night of Solace and Exodus and sitting back and watching the fun. Installation 04 had that opportunity, and… didn’t deliver.

Not that it’s a bad map, I like it. Just… missed opportunities. C’est la vie.

I like watching them own the covies too :frowning:

the closest I can get here is giving them all snipers/rockets/fuel rod guns and setting the difficulty to easy and letting them fight Grunts (not to mention I have to sat the AI not to throw grenades or a grunt will chuck a grenade at them which is instakill half the time & they also love to kill themselves with Rockets and FRG shots. plus they cant do anything against elites

I havent noticed that the ODST’s are that useless, but yea they just stay on top and put shots on people. I never tried killing them tho…but then again thts not really the point of firefight.
