You can’t see your feet

Seeing your gun offers nothing to gameplay but immersion. Not as long as you have a reticle/zoom. Its a very nice feature but not necessary

please never give gameplay feedback to any game developer ever.

  • Weapon silhouettes immediately convey which weapon is equipped while they’re only in your peripheral, moreso than relying entirely on reticles to determine which weapon is currently equipped
  • Weapon silhouettes often convey weapon functionality to new players
  • Despite having a center screen reticle, a weapon on screen offers a reference point that helps with aiming
  • Weapons on screen help with depth perception, especially when closer to in-game geometry
  • Reload animations convey information on when the weapon is ready for use again
  • Readying animations also convey information on when the weapon is ready for use

I’m sure there are other things, but this is just off the top of my head.

I didn’t think that until you mentioned that lol

Not really on topic but sort of. Seeing no feet is not nearly as irritating as being 4 foot 2 in almost every fps around since forever. Lol is it just me??

Some are worse than others but it always seems to me that you’re always playing as a stump.

The worst offender ever was Killzone on PS3. Fantastic game but I was constantly checking to see if i was crouched. I wasn’t:/.

Also, its not really an issue. Just a pet peeve, really.

I know what you mean, sometime it feels like the camera is mounted to the characters chest.

Where in the options on Halo CE on the Xbox can you change your fov?

Bring on the feet! Love feet I tell ya.

Oh so that’s probably what they did in Cyberpunk with your characters’ -Yoink!-. At high enough FOV they just vanish.

if it’s above i think 75 FOV they’re just… gone. sucks as i love having legs for imerssion, but screw those who want a higher fov i guess -v-

I didn’t even realize they were in the game. I find it hard to believe that they are omitted for performance reasons, especially when the MCC lets you see your legs no matter the FOV. It’s a nice level of polish to have, hopefully they can be brought to all FOVs.

iirc, your legs were visible no matter what your FOV was back the flights before the game came out. Why it was changed is baffling to me.

Funny that I happened to see this post, as I’d just noticed today coming from the MCC that I couldn’t see my feet in Infinite. It wasn’t a huge deal to me, but it did feel almost… lazy? Unfinished?

That being said, Infinite has a lot on the side of unfinished things. Haha.

I hope to see my paws in higher FOV in the future but then again I’m just kitten around :smile_cat:

I’d like to see my legs but like, it’s fine if I don’t.

I do kind of miss not seeing your feet in game. Jumping from high heights made me feel it in my gut in Halo 2. Like at the top of Waterworks.

It was around during the 1st Flight but removed because High FOV your whole lower waist was visible, it could’ve been fixed but I believe 343 just chose a easy way out

I would like this feature back, it was pretty neat in the other Halo game.
