You Can’t Replay Campaign Missions In Halo Infinite

Let’s hope so. Also, the title of this thread is a bit misleading.

I know this is off topic but I’m sorry. IGN never had anyone like Jason Schreier writing for them. I’m not exactly a fan of Kotaku’s practices myself but they at least practice journalism. IGN is just a news and review site.

Um… yeah, about that… It wasn’t a hoax. Heck, 2 of the journalists who said they might have been able to disprove the leak have come out and straight up apologized and said they were wrong.

ABSOLUTLEY SENDING ME! Hahaha, not laughing at you, I just think Kotaku being THIS irrelevant now is HILARIOUS.

This might have been verified but I still don’t want to believe it.

It would be monumentally ridiculous if you can’t replay missions.

I would LOVE to know the thought process behind some of 343’s decisions because some of them seem to be to deliberatey damage the game. There’s no way they thought about it and thought “Naaaah, people won’t want to replay the missions” right?

They must have realised that people want this (it’s that obvious), so why the decision not to include it?

The same can be said for lots of things.

Something isn’t quite right at 343.

Are you in any way surprised? Almost nothing has been done in a logical or player friendly way.

When they fix this somewhere between next year and never, they can rename Amor Lockers to Coating Lockers

I’ve never been so jealous in my life m8. i wish i could say the same.
as for credibility. for simple fact reporting like this they’re probably credible. if what’s being said can in any way be interpreted as an opinion, then it should be disregarded outright. Kotaku is full of politically motivated propagandists

Eh, same difference. What they got doesn’t change my post

Thanks for the info. I mean I love Halo and a few other games but i am not playing video games 24/7. If anyone of you need advice or help with skateboards, hit me up.

That kotaku website looks a bit strange, reminded me of Vice for some reason.

Much love ya all

except it easily could… It could of easily had the ability to replay mission in the review copy disables for some reason where as you can on the full game.

I’m disappointed if this is true, but, with the switch to an Open World game style, it is not surprising.

Just look at other recent Open World games like God of War 2018 and PS4 Spider-Man. They don’t have an Mission or Chapter select because the open world format is telling a story in what is being presented as an on going narrative in a living world. It’s a different style than the standard linear FPS we are used to with Halo, but is common place for the format. This is the first Open World Halo game, so it’s definitely jarring to go form the linear style we are all sued to in Halo, to this sort of Continuous Narrative style.

Most Open World games make up for this by putting their collectibles in the Open World area and not in the Gated Off mission areas. If 343 is going to fully embrace the continuous narrative format and not have Mission or Chapter Select, I hope they also have the foresight to place all their collectibles and skulls in the open world of Zeta Halo. If the rumors are true that there are two missions standard linear style before you land on Zeta Halo, it would be understandable to put some there, as you can easily replay those since they are the very beginning of the game. Once you’re on the Ring and in the Open World, I certainly hope nothing gets locked out by being in an unrepayable mission.

I wonder if this will do away with Par Time and Par Score Achievements/Challenges, since there would not be away to easily replay the level?

343 has came out and said replaying mission will come in a future update.

That’s what I read. Another core feature, in the pipeline. This pipe is starting to sound like a drain at this point.

I retract my statement. You indeed cannot go back and grab collectibles.

You aren’t able to go back to the first two missions, but past that, you can access pretty much everything else.

This is a pretty huge irritant. The audio logs show up on scans and have a ping the closer you are to them, pretty easy to track down. The skulls? Looks like they show up on scan but you’ve pretty much gotta scan everything and look in a 360, top to bottom fashion to see if one got picked up by the scan. Not finding them right away doesn’t bother me, but having to start the entire game from scratch to have a chance to go collect then is just poor design.

Hopefully the level selector gets added quickly then.

For real? Has this been confirmed?

Yes. We have to wait for the mission select (post launch strikes again) or you can put a collectible guide from YouTube on a second screen while you play but that sounds like a recipe to ruin your first experience.

There is no way im starting my legendary campaign again after a good 6 hours in.

I’ve generally never said a bad word about 343i and try to defend them… but come on who’s bright idea was it not to have a level select and/or have missable skulls and audio logs
