if you play it while refunded, it will be on your console still and you can actually play it if you want. but i called a microsoft rep and he said that it will send a automated message to the enforcement team, and you will have your account banned permantly. he said just uninstall it right away. so i did… and got in the mood and bought a hard copy 2 days laterrr haha…

I actually received similar info from a customer service person while I was getting my refund as well. She told me that if I tried accessing the game my account would be locked. So I promptly uninstalled the game from my xbox, I’ll be back in January when 343 gets the kinks worked out as I’m certain they will. Until then hope everyone gets the best playing experience they can with mcc

Yall are dumb as hell, you’re not gonna get banned, you’re going to lose the “rights” to the game and you won’t be able to load the game after you restart.

I agree, the moment my refund was confirmed they asked me to switch off my console as it would make removing the licence easier and quicker, once the call was over I switched on my console and could not play it, it asked me to buy it from the shop or install a disc, the rep on the phone told me I could delete it or keep it installed so I could re buy the digital or a disc to unlock it again.

I find it ironic that you call this person dumb. Maybe you should take other testimonies before just assuming you’re right, because I know for a fact that you aren’t.
Anyway OP, a while back I got a refund for Destiny because I thought it was a pretty bad game and not worth the price I paid, they refunded me within 2-3 days and when I tried the game it still worked. Every once in a while I would try it to see if they had removed my license and it still worked up until a few weeks ago when I finally deleted it from my console.
So I didn’t loose the license and I was still able to play the game for months before I finally deleted it, I assume I can still play it if I download it but I’m not sure and I’m not wasting my time to find out. Just thought I’d chime in.
Oh and another thing, I can’t imagine you’re going to be banned for anything. Perhaps they do indeed have something like that set up but if they do, I certainly didn’t get any bans or notifications sent my way.
Just stating what the rep said to me, I know you guys are probably right but just passing on the info a microsoft cs gave to me in my refund process.

Yeah I have the option to buy it again, which i will after xmas, before the H5G beta starts. Just not dealing with it right now.
If you want a refund with no risk of loosing the game get it through paypal. Get the refund in 11 days and keep the game microsoft will show it as you still own the game. That’s how i got a free advanced warfare plus season pass.
