According to the release notes the mantis can’t be boarded from the front now. I hope that’s really the case because I’ve hated using them for that very reason.

according to the notes, boarding the mantis from the front was a bug, same for its miniscule stomp damage and even the spartan charge’s crazy aim assist on corners was a bug

Me too. Maybe I can now finish that commendation soon, lol!. I wish they would have made the stomp a little better too; It’s so useless compared to H4.

In Halo 4, the Mantis was only boardable from the rear. Up until now, you could board the Mantis from the front of the vehicle, yet it would show you on the back of the Mantis., so it was likely a glitch that was never intended to occur. It made the Mantis kinda -Yoink- to use, because the stomp did absolutely nothing. At least with the Wraith, you can splatter someone who is about to board you from the front.
You can’t board a banshee from the front either any more!
i had a banshee pretty much let me give it a hug multiple times and I couldn’t get the option to board it. I was fuming cause I had perfectly dodged banshee bombs and being splatter with 3 chances to board and it wouldn’t let me.
