1 through 50 held population better, showed true skill, gave most ppl something to shoot for. I’m not saying that I should have been 50 after 9 games, but when my step bro gets 2 or 3 kills each game and gets ranked higher than me?! Yeah -Yoink- is broken. That is what I’m saying. 1-50 wasn’t so why fix something that wasn’t broken.
yea its more based on how much you play than on just the first few games
It’s sad because I recently jumped back into Halo 5 and I sucked balls for 6 out of the 10 games and got ranked Onyx 1700 because I previously had been ranked in Onyx for almost ever month I played. Now it’s frustration to jump into at first because I’m only ever going to be matched against people who are really good. Not that I care, because I’ve always been able to hold my own at higher ranks. Just when it’s been a few months, takes a bit to get the timing down again.

While i agree that Halo 5s ranking system sucks, i looked at many of your latest swat games and it appears that 90% of the time you were facing very bad unrankeds to golds to low plats. So my question is, what did you expect ? To get Diamond? Just keep playing and see if you can still go +20 if you’re only facing diamonds and higher 
Edit: I do not intend to stat flame but your highest all time csr is diamond 1, so it looks pretty accurate to me for not placing you into Diamond+, because you have not proven to be worthy yet. Again, no offense.

I was onyx ranked when game first released, why it’s not showing idk, I stop playing for a while. I’m not trying to say I should be in champ. I know what I who I was facing, and my team arenamed and slayer are all almost solo joins as well. With a team I’m sure I would be higher but mics and communication aren’t popular anymore. But all I’m saying is its broken. My step bro gets plat 2 and goes extreme negative every game. Like really? I carried the wins I know but that just proves skill isn’t shown in the current ranking system.

I’m not trying to glorify my game performance, it wasn’t a challenge and it was not fun but I cannot help who I go up against in placement matches which is another great problem in this system.

I went straight to platinum 5 in slayer after winning most of the matches.
Because if it ain’t broken, 343 will hit it repeatedly with a hammer until it vaguely resembles a poorly chiseled version of what it actually was…

Just curious, did ranks get completely reset after preseason? I was placed onyx in FFA in preseason, then stopped playing until a couple weeks ago. I played my FFA placements, won 4, and finished 2nd or 3rd in all the others. I was even mostly matching onyx, but placed diamond 3. I’m fine with it, should be able to rank up quickly, but was just surprised based on what I thought I knew about the rank system.

Uhm I don’t know if it got completely reset (probably yes), however i think getting onyx in preseason was nothing like getting onyx now. Although i didn’t play H5 in preseason, i’ve seen many people who had onyx in preseason and having a lower rank now, it seems to be due to people improving and the lucky/fake ones getting sorted out.
Overall though, i wouldn’t bet -Yoink- to the credibility of the ranking system, it is just me assuming.
