You as HALO FANS, would you pay 30 USD to buy the multiplayer, and increase the quality of the games?

Would I pay $30 buck more to have a better experience in multiplayer, oh hell yes. In a heart beat. I understand them doing microtransactions (not a fan of it but understand it). But the amount of quitters, apparently easy ban times, trolls, etc is F**KING annoying. Cause then the bots join and we’ll those are just easy targets. I have a 360 and one s just for Halo games, I pre-ordered the campaign for Infinite, bought a bought the more expensive battle pass. Don’t mind spending money on my favorite series. Love playing Halo in general but the multiplayer experience in Infinite can suck… bad. Fix some issues, make cosmetic earnable but still purchasable, fine. I’ll gladly drop $30 more bucks. I’ll eat the loss of the battle pass (which isn’t worth the money).

As for the whole controller vs pc, I guess I get it but don’t care so much. I mean I would be an option that would hurt (pc, xbox, cross-platform) but I don’t know if it’s really needed)

If someone is playing it, they are a fan.

Fans can be trolls.

Fans can have limited disposable income.

Stop gatekeeping and entertaining a fantasy.

I’ll give them $60 cash now and another $60 when campaign launches if they just fix the controller aiming. Right now the turning speed before acceleration kicks in is restricted to around 340 degrees per second. That’s pretty much a death sentence to any mobility players on console. And there’s many other issues with the aiming controls on both inputs that need sorting out, but that’s the big one.

Okay, so $30 now, and what… pay again when the next update comes out? How about when DLC maps drop?

The old system of paying for Halo multiplayer was terrible. Don’t forget we used to have a subscription fee in the form of Xbox Live. That’s what payed for all the balancing, updates, and server costs. Then there was DLC. All future maps, and other major game updates cost more money to obtain. And you rarely actually got to play with that content online because if only a few people bought it, it never rotated into matchmaking.

I never want to go through that again. The game being F2P means I never have to drop a dime on this game to enjoy all of the gameplay content. It also means that more of my friends can try the game and play with me, which was always an issue back in the day when we were all too poor to afford Xbox Live.

You may not like it. But multiplayer games are live service games. They have continuous server upkeep costs, they cost money and developer time to balance and maintain. A single upfront cost does not pay for the kind of love and attention that they require. That’s just the way it is.

Yeah bro get rid of this f2p trash I’d rather buy the game like normal. Even though the campaign is on game pass they’re still charging full price without the coop and the forge, it’s also supposed to apparently be a live service game of 10 years which judging by the multiplayer I’m sure will be full of dlc not on gamepass we have to pay for.

This post is a point in the wrong direction.

First of all, that’s not going to happen after the monetization program has already been laid out. How well do you think it would go for 343 to tell the community they need to pay another $30 for MP? Yeah, no.

Second, people continue to see MP as “free” but it is only partially true. They simply separated MP from campaign like Call of Duty did with Warzone. Love or hate CoD… they showed the gaming world that FTP is sustainable running parallel to a paid full game. The campaign isn’t any cheaper than previous iterations. I understand that several MP players will skip that purchase…but the OGs will buy it. I don’t know a single one of my Halo buds that are going to skip campaign. 343 will easily be in the black with this game after launch.

If you truly want this exclusivity feeling of having true fans only, the solution would be for 343 to say, “hey, good on you other studios for your FTP business models, but it’s not for us” and then bind MP to campaign at launch like always. This forces people that want to play MP to buy the full game. Even these “trolls” you speak of will have to buy the full game…so it will likely repel many of them. 343 would make the money they need to get in the black, they could still add a battle pass for even more profit, they could say only the beta was FTP, and Halo OGs would be happy.

When your solution is for consumers to pay MORE… you are the problem that drives studios like Activision to release trash over and over again to keep the money flowing.

Personally, I’m fine with the “trolls” because most of them have CoD FPS mechanics that true Halo players eat for breakfast. Keep ‘em comin’!!! (my favorite is the crouch spammer lmao)

I’ve pre-ordered the campaign. So once the money leaves my bank account, as far as I’m concerned I have paid for multiplayer.

I know a lot of threads and posts are becoming redundant

But I would pay 30$ for full multiplayer, battlepass, and exclusive battlepass armor unlocked upon purchasing the full multiplayer

And yes a playlist selection would be nice, especially for the pesky challenges

For Halo fans the MP isn’t free.

We will all buy the $60 campaign anyway. We are actually getting shafted hard with this setup since nearly everyone already bought the battlepass already for $10 or bought the BP Bundle $50.

So in total the majority of us will have spent either $70 or about $120 for both the Campaign and battle pass. However we are getting a fraction of what any of the previous installments got.

So no I wouldn’t pay anything extra for elements that should be part of the game. Quality including since there are standards, unfortunately both publishers and devs are testing how poorly they can make a game before people stop buying it.

The multiplayer will have free DLC over the course of its lifetime. All updates, new maps, etc will be free to the entire playerbase. That’s the beauty of F2P. That’s significantly better than the old system.

I’m alright with optional cross-play, but I don’t know why you’d limit MnK and Controllers to certain things… if a dude on Xbox uses MnK or Vice-versa, why punish them, let them use what their comfortable with, isn’t it onyl a handicap to themselves?

How are you going to punish cheaters more severely? If it’s anything like your last post on the subject, I’ll let you know right now, I’m opposed to it.

“On par with gears 5”
Gears 5 literally has the same progression system of challenges only (even if it is slightly better implemented), 343i can easily do better, I don’t know why you’d set the bar so low.

The entire point of Halo being F2P was to draw in and make more fans, let time seperate wheat from chaff, you’re acting like putting up a paywall is going to stop people from quitting the game as if “dedicated halo fans” are exempt from rage quitting, they’re people who’ve bought their way to 100 but still quit because they have a bad game, or hate their team.

I have no problem with spending $30 if it meant improved systems across the board but that’s not going to solve quitters.

And let’s be honest, calling people “trolls” just because they’re new to Halo and didn’t buy the game doesn’t make anyone look good, not the new players trying to learn all they can and definitely not Halo fans who have been here since the start.

If it was included in the $60 for the full game (mp + campaign) yes. If not, no. I will not pay $30 more dollars for a portion of the game that used to be in the standard package.

I mean I paid for a Russian VPN for years to play Halo online. As a Halo fan, name your price.

This is the weirdest form of prejudice I have ever seen…

It’s better to have only 100k true Halo fans? You sound like some sort of Halo purist lol. Anybody can play any game they want. More players is always a good thing

I had to deal with plenty of griefers, trolls, and quitters in all the other Halo games. If the MP were a premium purchase, that wouldn’t change.

We are on week 3 of what is ostensibly gonna be 520 weeks of multiplayer support. We are 0.58% of the way through the game’s proposed lifecycle. Maybe we’re on week -1 right now if this is still being considered the beta. Folks need to relax.

i’d most certainly pay 30 for the multiplayer and 60 for the campaign, individually, if it meant the multiplayer was complete and 10x better

I just want a normal full priced game without battle passes and no in game store…

All I want is for 343 to ditch the free to play model and ditch the battlepass and give us a normal progression/unlock system.

No trolls. What this guy is proposing is basically what someone else once said “No more Fortnite. No more trolls.” I think these are good ideas to reduce annoying game leavers.

Let’s see a serious COMPANY would do this.

Ranked-Controller “With a powerful aim-assist comparable apex / CoD” . XBOX only NOT CROSS-PLAY and this is where the entire E-sports Scene will take place.

Ranked-KB / MOUSE. Deactivate all types of AIM-ASSIST → 0% and block any type of control.

Ranked-Crossplay & quick-play “Lower the power of the AIM-ASSIST in the controller 8%” in order to maintain a balance between both methods.

Halo multiplayer will only works on a SINGLE-UNIQUE profile on XBOX-STEAM, you can’t share that by any method similar to what FIFA, MADDEN did on the past years, the cost will be 30 USD and this is to ENSURE only people INTERESED on the product will be there.

You think that all the people who play HALO are classy English gentlemen, they will behave with EDUCATION Well, I’m sorry to tell you no, when people have multi-profile on xbox they abuse that a lot and so they destroyed the Ranked of GEARS 5.

i SAW how Gears 5 multiplayer was destroyed by the QUITERS also i made this topic cuz everyday i play 10-16 games of HALO and at least on 80% of my games we have some kind of “Quiter”, “Troll” “thrower”

Nope, not knowing how 343 has gone about everything so far that is a really bad sign.
