You aren't supporting the devs, the devs have been paid a salary

Your purchases do not support your favourite members of 343i staff. Unless the guy that clicks the 3 buttons to change the colours and charge you $20 for it gets commission for his hard work…

Your purchases support none other than greedy Microsoft execs who are pretty much directly responsible for the terrible state the game is in.

If the game flops 343i still got paid. Your money does not support 343i.

Nail polish promotion. A -Yoink!- nail polish promotion… I dunno man, nobody says girls aren’t supposed to play Halo but I’m pretty sure they are outnumbered more than 1000 to 1… When I was at school Halo was cool, now it’s like you’re gonna get bullied by the bigger boys if they find out you’re a Halo fan.

I love every part of this excluding the refence to 343i, you are a bot trying to drive fake news. There has been no refence to the “company” n the past other than 343, now out of no where we have 343i, that is because you are being paid by them to post, to do your job, that is ok. I respect you making a living for yourself or your family.
However, I will also call karkar on posts that are against your own TOS.

This is just blatantly false. And largely based on meme levels of business dev.

The only “true” part of this, is making your $8 BP purchase, isn’t going to directly pad the wallets of the devs from that purchase.

But aside from this, yes making purchases in any market directly supports the business and those working. Promotions, business expansion, product expansion, yearly raises, bonuses, etc. are all driven by product sales. Not to mention that profit sharing and stock options exist.

Of course it generally isn’t sunshine and rainbows, and no market is perfect, but its just wrong to suggest that supporting the product you enjoy… isn’t supporting the people behind it and future development of the product you enjoy.

Funny you say that because I supported all the Halo games and they went and made this one F2P.

What does that have to do with anything? Markets shift, consumer behavior changes based on the technology available. Halo going F2P was a natural move. The consumers are literally the only thing to blame.

And supporting “every halo” isn’t just “supporting Halo”. Halo, Destiny, Bungie, and now 343, are all the results of the support we gave the devs. Including every action figure, comic, movie, show, book, etc. By supporting “Halo” we consumers have created and driven the expansion of everything that 343, MS gaming division, and the entire market (including concepts like matchmaking and online play/markets).

Yeah, well Halo is my favourite game and I’m going to continue to politely express my disgust for the state it’s in until I get banned from every last Halo discussion on earth.

Natural move… of course, Forza Horizon has an entire game for one price this year absolutely packed full of customization but Halo has to sell single skins for $20.

Great argument mate, I can totally see your point.

Thank you now let me ask, ASL?

They are different markets, and FH hasn’t been “a flat price” for a LONG time. Car passes, paid car tokens, loot boxes, DLC, and other paid content is the “full package”. Which ends up being $100+, and then locking major cars behind grindy events and RNG just to keep engagement up.

I really enjoy FH and Halo both, but both games have adapted and evolved due to market trends. And if/when racing/driving games start to become F2P, Im sure FH will follow that trend.

Well I bought the ultimate edition, one price, entire game. Loot boxes are part of the game it’s not paid for it’s just a reward system and they pour them on, I dont even open them anymore I already have all the cars and plenty of CR… You can do the grindy events or spend 20 seconds buying the cars on the auction house like I’ve been doing because there’s no point grinding the events until I can 100% it in a single month and there’s always one thing broken… but yeah, even with the base game you get over 500 cars that are infinitely customizable, that’s pretty insane when you compare it to Infinite.

It will be a sad day if Forza ever loses it’s customization. It’s a staple of the franchise.

Buddy just move on. I understand your anger but do something else with your life other than go on forums and continuously hate on a video game. I’m a big Halo fan too, and I’m happy with the game. For the record, if the game even resembled the garbage that was Halo 5, I would have just moved on. It’s a video game. There’s still MCC and Halo 3 will always be there for me

I always found it really funny how some players believe and will try to use that the “devs need to get paid” as an argument.

You would figure after all these years that most that defend this very bad business practices and uses that absurd argument would be aware of that. It shows how little some pay attention to what actually happens and that they are more lost than they realize.

Although, not all of it goes to Microsoft, and from what I understand 343 has creative control.

You are comparing apples to oranges though.

Halo Infinite MP is also the complete package… for free.

Imagine if FH5:Free Edition existed. Which is literally the same exact game, but cosmetic customization was limited. How exactly would that be “bad”? I get enjoying putting decals on the cars, and choosing your window tint… but I would 100% be down for paying nothing and getting FH5: Free Edition.

Imagine being upset over literally nothing.

Oh really? Well where is my emblem that I always use? Why can’t I choose my colours?

Absolutely fine, you pay for the game already so it makes zero difference to the current experience, next Forza game I hope to have a similar experience on a new map, sounds perfect. Halo should have done this. I would have bought the ultimate edition day one.

Sorry bud, I can’t do it. You’ll have to paint a better picture for me than that. Dunno why people reply to posts that contain substance with comments like yours that contain nothing.

Imagine comparing FH5 which is a paid game plus paying for gameplay additions (cars) , to Infinite which is just optional cosmetics

Like I said, I get not being happy with the limited customization… but that isn’t core content.

Like yes, if FH6 launched in a few years, and went 100% free, but no cosmetic customization… you would be over here complaining that you can’t choose your typical window tint.

Like yes, we all get it… but ignoring the fact that you are getting the entire CORE of FH6 for free. Its literally as simple as “you want that window tint THAT bad? Buy it. You don’t want to spend money? Don’t…”

And this is all ignoring that changes to the core customization system are likely going to happen.

Imagine that customization is so much fun that they monetized it. That’s the point.
