You are all very whiny about a free game (with answers)

I have answers to most people’s complaints below.

Game is free battle pass is optional don’t like it don’t buy it.

However if you do buy it and complain you should know

The 100 levels can be completed even after the season ends…forever…you don’t miss out. So as long as you play…you’ll get all 100 eventually.

“Ranks are bad and broke”

The algorithm has no data to go off of yet so the ranks are very flat. The game has no idea what a good or bad player really is yet.

It’s learning.

“XP too slow”

I’m getting 2 levels a night in 4 hours after the patch.
We have many many many months to do it.
At this rate I will complete the battle pass 3 months before it ends. Some of you have never played a real free to play grind fest…also see above…you have literally forever

If your main focus is the battle pass you should go be a collector for something or get into NFTs…just play the game. They could rip the battle pass right out and have no customization and you’d wouldn’t be complaining as much.

“Muh aim assist”

I don’t care about controllers so I don’t have an answer for you here. Get better. There’s plenty of fantastic controller players that keep up and even surpass m+kb

Now onto my gripes with the game

2021 and still dying long after turning a corner in cover due to lag. Yes I know this can’t really be fixed but it sucks.

Lack of weapon variety and still…no duel wield

Lack of elite skins

Weekly challenges for weekly rewards that you CAN miss out on are pretty difficult and should be lessened. They said they want people to get it in 14-18 hours or something. I’m well beyond that fighting over shade turrets and vehicles

Challenges should be rolled all at once not 5 at a time…just let me do them by accident because I can access them all

Sprinting…it’s not broken or anything I just don’t like it.

They made the game free because they’re trying to make some money off it via microtransactions. If they want more money, they’ll probably take our feedback into consideration.

It’s $10 for the whole battle pass that you will unlock eventually and have an unlimited time to do so…

10,000 credits = $99.

What is your point? I can simply just grind the pass I don’t ever need to buy credits lmao

They are trying to make the game have continual income instead of just making it $60 and tossing it away to make another one

This is a huge improvement because the longevity of the game may just last longer and be able to be enjoyed for a longer period of time.

Criticism is not hatred. When done constructively, it can be helpful in improving things for everyone. People are usually most vocal about what they are passionate about. Unfortunately they typically only speak up when they are unhappy about something. If they are happy, they are usually too busy enjoying the thing they are happy about to comment as much in a forum. It can make these communities look very skewed towards the negative.

Yes the game is free. That doesn’t mean we should just shut up and take anything and everything we are given. Even players who do not buy the battle pass or items from the store still make a contribution to the community. They are the opponents and teammates, in a way they are content themselves, for the people who are buying the battle pass and items, keeping the game alive financially.

We can discuss things and reach arrangements that are amicable to both developer and consumer. Both sides can be happy and feel they got their fair share. We don’t have to be enemies trying to scam as much out of the other side as possible.

Those who have played a “f2p grind fess” likely make the most criticisms cause they know how annoying it is.

So many grind-games these days have you try to unlock heroes, and it takes 2 years to get your first 5-star hero unless the devs give away tons of in-game currency, which never happens. And, in these games, if you spend 10,20,100 dollars, you get crap, utter crap.
One game I play, I have put in $40 and haven’t progressed my heroes really in like 9 months, playing every single day just about.

Saying this though, Halo isn’t as bad. But, criticizing the lack of customization or how things are unlocked is justified. I don’t have a strong opinion on the XP progression since that part is just a number.

Yes thank you for admitting they are trying to make some money off Halo Infinite’s multiplayer by enticing players to drop cash for things that can can be obtained for free via grinding. Many players are willing to skip the grind and pay upfront to access various aspects of the Halo experience quicker. This understanding leads back to my OP regarding my point about our feedback. The more players that enjoy the game, the larger the pool of players will be that’s willing to drop cash.

“Muh” yourself. People who dont care about other peoples problems and tell them to get better are ignorant and dont help with the situation at all but talk -Yoink!-. Yes, thats you.

its pretty brave to list your issues with the game after insulting everyone else with complaints and dismissing theirs outright, not sure I see the utility in that but you do you.

peoples issues seem to be that they value their time more than the rewards given. 200 hours of gameplay for a single BP of rewards presented as they are, is extremely costly. How much time does the average player put to a game? you can check your steam page and look at your own results. How many people will play enough to have the opportunity to see the full extent of their 10 dollar purchase? I don’t want to be the one to break this news to you, but people don’t have unlimited time. aside from the obvious dying part, I dont know many working adults who play more than 200 hours a year. even fewer who play significantly more than that like myself. and I dont know a single person who only plays 1 game. it isn’t “$10 for the whole battle pass” its 10$ and an enormous time investment.

this is absolutely demonstrably false. the only thing this improves is the companies work to profit ratio. whats on display here is unabashed greed. Warframe has existed all these years just fine without an outright predatory system like this.

So first you say that they XP isn’t too slow, and that people shouldn’t be so eager to complete the BT.
But then you complain that you can’t complete all your challenges at the same time, presumably to quicken your progression through the BP….right?

You also say that ripping out the BP and customisation would stop people complaining, yet you go on to complain of no playable elites…

And finally you finish on Sprining being a con, simply because you don’t like it, which can kind of just sums the post up really.

The whole thing reads as “stop complaining because preferences are irrelevant, but I also have preferences”.
