You are a company created for the SOLE purpose....

of continuing the Halo franchise. A franchise we have been playing for 13 years which is arguably one of the greatest video game series ever created…

and this is what you envision Halo 5 is supposed to be? What a -Yoinking!- shame. I’m not even mad. I’m disappointed that you are completely supporting the things you added to this franchise, 343. Shame Halo is going to die like this.

Well to help all of us, you should state what displeases you so much.

Because while there are elements I and most likely we would like to see removes or changed, this Halo is definitely more Halo feeling than the last game.

Disgruntled and unwavering naysayers seeking nothing but H2 cut, copied, and pasted into every Halo since has done more damage than any other culprit.

That’s harsh, when H2-3 was a really good jump, new things but the core was still Halo.

Yes, and so is Halo 5, with the only new additions, being mobility, and little cosmetic changes, that don’t affect gameplay, at all. I’ve even heard people call this the only true innovation to the core gameplay since CE. Thats saying something. Its saying that the only people who are pissed about this, are the Halo 2 elitist crowds.

Ladies and gentlemen, the reason this franchise is dying, people being ok with this attempt at the next major halo game.

Tell me, is it the sprint that makes it feel more like halo? Or is it the clamber? It was clamber wasn’t it? Nobody ever did this thing called crouch jumping in past halo’s, no way jose. Nooo, it cant be. How about the hitmarkers and pinging noise? That was in halo since the beginning, no? Hmm. Ahh, surely its the announcer making a fool of himself by the way he sounds now. I too remember him shouting out an entire paragraph before a slayer game. Such a nostalgic thing to make this halo feel more like halo than ever, huh? Was it the announcement of when power weapons are spawning? That has to be it! Oh wait, its thruster! Man, I can remember thrustering into cover to avoid death in halo 2 like it was yesterday. I got it! The ADS! Zooming in always showed your gun on the screen in the past games. Maybe it was all the little high pitched pingy noises when you zoom in and out of weapons? The stretched out maps? I sure remember midship and heretic being as huge as truth is, man o man. Maybe it’s the playing as spartan IV’s that you always played as which are no different from master chief at all. Or the spartan chatter perhaps? I couldn’t get the spartans to shut up in Halo 3! LoL XD <3! Hmm no? It’s got to be the absurd amount of medals you get. I remember averaging over 2 medals per kill all the way back to halo 2. Getting the “kill” medal that you get when you don’t get any other medals sure doesn’t water down that entire system at all and it never will! The faster kill times? Is it by chance the ranking system that matches unranked players with the highest ranked players? Is it the killcams (that don’t even work properly)? The music at the end of every game that sounds straight out of Cod 4 Modern Warfare? The br that shoots faster than the halo 2 br?

Man, I just can’t seem to nail down what it is you’re attributing to this game being more halo feeling than ever. Could you let me know?

There are some things up to debate like the mobility, I really dislike the ADS animations, it really doesn’t fit Halo (although the Light rifle’s is pretty awesome because it’s the most similar to a traditional looking zoom screen).

I can’t really say since I only have the experience of watching many videos and hearing from many players.

The gunplay feels better than H4, the sandbox is also pretty well balanced. Armor abilities are gone and there’s no load outs so you know exactly what players have from the start, there won’t be any surprise randomness like a player suddenly using Hardlight shield.

Focus on fair, arena games and an emphasis on the power weapons spawning at the same locations every map, no random ordnance.

Exactly and they simply call everyone else casuals or not Halo fans if we simply disagree with them. Can everyone not have their own opinion and be civilized about it?

If you look at halo1-3 and then halo 5 and say the only new additions are mobility and cosmetic changes that don’t affect gameplay at all, then you need to see a neurologist and a psychiatrist. Get checked out. You could have brain damage. I’m completely serious.

Nothing really changed from H2-3 though. They are quite similar.

You just named the abilities and cosmetics that don’t affect mechanics in the least. Subtract the abilities (add in crouch jump) and this game feels identical to Halo 2.

More and tweaked weapons, vehicles, maps. New equipment, modified player mechanics (like base movement, ripping turrets off to use on the move). Forge, Theater, online co op campaign.

Still the gameplay didn’t really change. Sure there were a few things here and there but gameplay wise it was basically halo 2 with a few new gadgets/tweaks.

No, i think you need to see a psychiatrist for having such a heart attack over a simple video game. Are you even capable of distinguishing between gaming and reality, because you’re having a hard time showing it. Like i said, mobility is the only difference, with thrusters, sprint, shoulder charge, ground pound, and sliding all falling under that category. The cosmetic changes would be smart scope, and spartan chatter (which we now know will be toggle-able), THOSE do not affect gameplay. Now, please, pull your head out of your -Yoink-, and enough with the attitude, your sounding like your suffering from anxiety disorder, over a -Yoinking!- game!!

And then ODST came out and despite being a regular human, it still felt like playing as a super soldier. It felt off.

And that’s why it was so awesome, the core didn’t change, if at all. It was just new and more on top of what we loved.

Well you did more slower, and weren’t as durable lol. Fun factor before canonical factor in this case. I definitely liked ODST though and snucked around picking off Covies like an assassin. Just adored the setting too.
