he’s talking about AL… which isn’t that hard to counter… you just wait a couple seconds… throw a grenade, and as soon as the pop out they get blown to hell

They will most likely put a time cap to staying in spawn screen… (10 seconds would be nice)
Also… why would you instruct your team to do that? thats not fun for you or anyone else and YOU would be causing it.
Spawns don’t work that way… you automatically spawn away from the enemy…
I enjoyed Halo 2 because I enjoyed its balance of speed and control. If you wanted in increase in speed you had less control.
I also enjoyed how every weapon in Halo 2 had different hit box sizes and aim assist levels.
In Halo 3 and Reach I felt that each weapon felt the same. I see many similarities between Halo 3 style BR and Halo 4 style BR which makes me unhappy as a consumer. I think it’s a sign of laziness on the maker’s part.
Halo 2’s game played flowed like a river. Halo 3 and Halo reach flowed like a river with a thousand dams in it. Halo 4 also seems to be restricted and slow from what I’ve seen.
I am a huge fan of letting people complain. I’d rather all the people who don’t like it, not -Yoinking!- play, instead of making me listening to them complain every game and then rage quit when a map wins they don’t like.
Whether Halo 4 will suck or not (kinda doubt it will suck since nobody but Microsoft 343i MLG and a chosen few including the NFL Draft Picks were the only people that got to play it as well as 343i testing and developing it day and night) I think everyone should be grateful 343i are even working there but off to give you a game better than Halo: Reach and that thy even decided to give you the rest of the Master Chief story that Bungie left. You should also thank Bungie for even contining after Halo: ODST to give oyu a Halo: Reach Beta and the Full game. People cry and whine about CoD and Halo and BF3 everyday. I think all those people should at be grateful the developers are even trying to keep you entertained with more CoD games or an upcoming Halo game or Minecraft coming to the Xbox seriously it takes alot to even make these games everyone complains about. If you think you can even do better against the Bungie(Who shaped Xbox’s FPS Multiplayer Universe IMO) 343i, Infinity Ward, Treyarch, DICE, and all the other big dogs of the gaming industry. I bet then you would see how hard it is to make choices on what bugs to fix before launch day what bugs to just forget about, what MP mechanics to put in and what to throw away. I’m pretty sure Bungie’s Halo 3 Legendary Essentials Disc explained that for anyone who actually watched the videos on their daily lives of the Halo 3 development strive. Even Frank O; Conner talks in some of the videos.
Long story short. Be grateful another Halo is even being brought to you(you’ll buy it reguardless just like Reach and MW3). Go to college get your degree in Game Designing and gain some knowlege in coding games then go start your own company and try to make a game better than Halo, CoD, & BF3 and see if it will see more then Halo, CoD, & BF3 did on Launch Night.

The main part of my sentence was the “punching the bird” line but you seem to have missed it. Oh well, the hate for armor lock runs deep, even deeper than that for jetpack.
Thanks for your opinion, but wikipedia sourcing is the way to go. Not wiki itself. To get on topic, I agree OP. The golden triangle is there and most of us are going to enjoy it highly for what it is: the next up and coming trilogy to beat out.

You’re welcome. It’s a good thing the sources are all neatly listed at the bottom of the article which I’ve just so conveniently linked for you.
This is laughable. This is just about every FPS game, but sure let’s imagine that every FPS is Halo.
H2 and CE were the only ones with the golden triangle. Once they added things to it it became a pentagon. It’s now; Shooting, melee, grenades, AA’s and random mechanics.
Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with having a “Golden Pentagon” or Hexagon, or hell, even “Golden Circle”. I honestly see the Halo series as one that is evolving.
Halo needs a little change every now and then…IMO it will be a great, refreshing feeling having something a little different. The forum community is always hardest on the developers so someone saying " its broken " really means very little in the grand picture considering the actual size of the Halo community
> You’re describing combat (a portion of gameplay), OP, and just about every FPS revolves around the “golden triangle”.
They are just singling out what they see as key aspects of Halo games. I’d say much different things. MLG people might say for example, BR, and sniper are most important.
I’d say movement speed, and aim assist are important for a good Halo game. That is why I enjoy Halo 2 so much and the other Halo’s so little.
For example every weapon in Halo 3 felt like a rocket launcher in Halo 2 when it came to aim assist. Meaning there was basically none.
In Halo 2, the rocket launcher had lock on ability that made up for its short comings and balanced it for what it was good for. In Halo 3 it was just horrible weapons and movements were so constricted and slow…
> Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with having a “Golden Pentagon” or Hexagon, or hell, even “Golden Circle”. I honestly see the Halo series as one that is evolving.
All of the points of a pentagon or hexagon to not touch. Circles do not have points.
What most people dont get, is adding and taking away gameplay elements (weapons, power ups, abilities, dual wielding, fall damage) has always been the part of Halo’ s development. We should wait until it’s released and see how the new additions play out. I’m sure 343i will balance everything to the community’s demands just as they did in Reach.
