Yoroi and cultural appropriation

You’re correct but what do you expect from a company that tries to sell you the color red?

It does not effect european cultures disproportionately.

Try not to worry yourself so much about it. Hayabusa is canon to Halo but can’t return due to licensing with Team Ninja, as already discussed earlier. (This was all because DOA4 was heavily marketed for the Xbox 360, Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 were Xbox Exclusives at the time, everybody knew/loved Ryu Hayabusa, because who doesn’t, and of course Halo being Xbox exclusive. No brainer they swapped characters for a while lol.) But it was made by an in-universe Japanese manufacturer. Though technically, stuff like the Hayabusa and so on is exactly what 343i count as Fractures. Not really the usual stuff you’d see in our version of Halo’s battlefield.

I would not be surprised if the next Fracture or future event is an Armor Core based upon Ancient Greece, maybe reflecting the Spartan warriors of which our Super Soldiers derive their names from. Fractures can be anything since it’s non-canon, even if it relates to canon in-universe stuff (if that makes sense) akin to perhaps “Marvel’s What If…?”. I would also not be surprised if there’s a Native American (of which I also share background) armor set that’s basically just a big scary metal wolf or something. It’d be neat, but not Halo. Which is why it’s a Fracture and non-canon.

Anyways, I just quite frankly worry more about the rest of the game versus what armor sets they put in here now as it’s all going to be subject to the same thing. Some stuff you’ll get free, most will be battlepass or shop. This is it until we can get them to change some things around.

Ugh, I hate that you’re right about this. But I can at least expect them or ask them to try, you know?

They really don’t need you to be offended for them, and you are still trying to push your point after getting feedback from said community. It’s almost like you are trying to lead them to water on being offended or something.

For real, It actually bugs me to see people get offended on someone else’s behalf.

Like if someone asked me if i liked tequila and some chick of another race getting offended for me while im chill about it.

Yeah, sad about the fact we’ll likely never see Hayabusa again. I’d certainly be concerned if they did something with Native American culture the same way, that’s for sure.

I do appreciate you chiming in though. Thank you for that.

So Asians aren’t POC? And any white cultures don’t matter?

Thank God we have you, the arbiter of cultures to tell us what is and isn’t acceptable.

Do you like Tequila? (Just kidding)

Speaking of Tequila, all of this talk reminds me of one of my favorite Anime, G Gundam. Anyone know of it? Does anyone remember Tequila Gundam? I loved that.

For safety of staying on topic, Gundam armor in Infinite when.

Same.
This whole thread is about virtue signaling, plain and simple. It’s extremely rude to speak on anyone’s behalf. without permission. This person is speaking on behalf of a whole culture that isn’t theirs. They can tip toe around it all they like but that’s what’s happening.

Absolve them from what? They did nothing wrong?

Or do you mean absolve them from butchering halos gameplay? In which case yeah I agree, nothing absolves them.

I wish more people could see through these obvious bad faith arguments like the ones OP is putting forth. This is about narcissism, not compassion for others.

That’s hilarious.

I don’t drink, but you can drink for me, you are(?) Irish after all.

Ha.

The bottles will be gone but so will my liver.
I wish I could post a picture of the head. I was so confused when I found it.

There’s nothing to absolve.

If anything using foreign cultures as an artistic influence gives it more exposure. If we weren’t allowed to use other cultures as a basis for inspiration life would be pretty boring. Other cultures are the reason there are so many different types of arts, foods, styles, etc. Ever ate pizza? You’re now guilty of cultural appropriation, oh no.

Being half German, and Italian I don’t complain, nor care over seeing stereotypical Germans, or Italians/ influences in video games. By your standards I should be very upset over games like Wolfenstein which I’m not. In fact blasting them into red mist is just as fun as any other video game enemy in a typical FPS.

I don’t have the time to care about something, so ridiculously petty anyway.

If you want to be more confused, log onto Google and take a look at Neo Mexico’s space colony from the show. It’s one big mountainous Sombrero/Cactus looking rock with tons of Cactus all over the place.

Absolute glory.

Ah, G Gundam… the one anime to bring all cultures and walk of life together in harmony as they beat the snot out of each other in tournaments.

Agreed.
These arguments sound like they come from people that have never spent time in another country around another culture. Gold post from both of you had me busting up tho.

I just googled it, that is pretty wild. It reminds me a lot of High Charity.
I am going to have to watch G Gundam now.
