Don’t you just hate when you run into THAT guy? You know who I’m talking about, the guy who will wait for you to complete your wicked assassination and then steal your kill at the last second. Ugh! It infuriates me every time I think about it. I had the worst case of THAT guy happen to me today. It’s so irritating. 343 really needs to do either one of these 2 things:

Make all damage thrown at the person being assassinated have no effect so THAT guy can’t rob you of your work.

Announce “Assassination!” and reward you with the kill immediately when you commence the assassination, Gears of War style. Only downside to this one is aside from getting the kill, the animation could still be cut short by THAT guy, although he’d only get an assist.
I prefer option 1. That or just do one simple thing: DON’T BE THAT GUY!

They could add a new medal called yoinked!
You would get it if someone on your team killed an enemy that you were assassinating. No yoink medal though, that would probably just encourage it.
Getting yoinked is the worst, especially when they know exactly what you’re doing and do it anyway.
Once I got an assassination and my teammate just stood there point blank and watched. After the assassination was done, we tea-bagged the corpse together. It was one of the few times I’ve had such great teamwork with no mic.
I’ve never actually gotten my assassination stolen yet in Halo 5. I only do so when there’s no one around.
I feel like even though the assassinations can be stolen, I can almost appreciate it. I like the option to steal an assassination, to speed up the killing process. I would never do such a thing, but I guess I would rather have the option rather than not having the choice to ruin someones day.
Had that happen in Warzone just now, was saving a tank and the driver jumped out and killed the guy while I was assassinating the enemy. I turned around and looked at him as he jumped back in so I threw my splinter grenade at him and I think he ended up dying, but eh I lose a kill he loses a tank.
Yeah I know that sounds like I’m a jerk, but after a while you get tried of it…
