343 has opted to give you the opportunity to do something about it. If you have chosen not to turn them off then the problem is yours and yours alone.
Some games make you and the target immortal during an assassination/ execution. But I feel like that a enemy would be just waiting on you to finish up. So, I feel like the target should e immortal. Not you. So, the enemy can save the teammate and your teammates can’t steal the kill.

Kill stealing is annoying so it does need to be fixed. I think the idea above is great.

The problem with that idea is the enemy could use anything to save their teammate, even explosives, without worrying about getting a betrayal. Showstopping is great and all, but it would be unfair if the enemy could shoot a rocket at their friend getting assassinated and not worry about killing them. People could use such a thing to bait traps that would otherwise have caused a betrayal.
Yeah it’s a pain. Sometimes I’m not sure who is getting assassinated.

Pretty much this. I won’t intentionally yoink someone, but if you don’t see the animation start you can’t always tell in a split-second who is killing who and I’d rather have a mildly unhappy teammate, than a dead one.
While it is annoying I don’t really think its necessary to add anything to stop it. If you really don’t like it you can always turn assassinations off.
I made the post about yoinking because I love assassinations, why would I turn them off?

Well, if you want to keep assassinations on, then you really shouldn’t complain about getting kills stolen. You can make the choice to risk a “stolen” kill, or you can go with the quicker, less showy beatdown.

Eh, it sounds like you should run with a solid fireteam of friends that won’t Yoink your assassinations. Because friends don’t steal friends’ kills. lol
even if its a bit -Yoink- move, i still quite find it part of Halo. Besides if you bring a knife to a gunfight (especially on open where everyone can see you) then you have deserved to get yoinked. I usually assassinate others only on places which are either remote, hard to see or otherwise just quiet.
