Edit for shortness: Ok wtf? After I finished up my warzone game I see that Im banned for griefing because I ran two people over in back to back games. Both times were an accident, I was hit by a grenade and spun out of control into my teammate and the second time the guy laughed and said he didnt care, the ban hammer needs readjustment ASAP, great fixes for february but the ban hammer could use some tightening.
ohh this will be fun
between griefing and 8 DNF’s in the passed week, I can kinda see the ban time being legit, but still somewhat exaggerated.

None of the DNFs were me quitting though, all of them were from internet issues, booted for running people over etc.

But with how fast people move now its far too small for avoiding team mates in vehicles. My point is that the ban hammer is constantly stopping players from playing the game when all theyre trying to do is just enjoy it. Im a very nice player, I apologized for running my teammate over and never betray for power weapons. I legit quit MAYBE once a week and I help my team mates and give advice all the time. Griefing is the last thing I would ever do yet here I am sitting out an entire day because of an accident. Id really like if it was harder to splatter teammates because I try my best but sometimes it just happens

If you legit quit once a week, what about the other seven from this week? Kicked from games? Because with all this warthog talk thats what I’m reading. Snickerdoodle has also brought up a few days ago that the ban hammer looks for patterns including betrayals, afk’s and quits. If you end up running over teammates all the time, then that ban for quitting will be that much harsher, regardless if they didnt take it in vein

It sounds like you genuinely have the best of intentions, but that is still too often.
I see a steady stream of people on these message boards who seem to believe that there is a certain threshold of “legit quits” that should be allowed. However, when you also factor accidental betrayals and suicides into the equation, every time you quit simply builds upon your ban hammer résumé.
As I have said within other discussion threads, I have played over 800 matchmaking games and encountered some server disconnects, accidental betrayals (typically when my random teammates run through my Splinter Grenade), and inadvertent suicides. But I have never “legit quit” out of a match, and I haven’t been banned for any reason. That isn’t a coincidence, folks.
