This game is great for all the call of duty fan -Yoinks!- but as a halo fan since halo 1 this game is a waste of life. What happened to being able to show gun skill. In halo 2 and halo 3 I could take on people 3v1 but ever since Reach and now this it’s ever who has the most people near them. No gun skill involved 3 bad aim players still win vs someone with great aim. Load outs, ord drops customizations. Really this is ridiculous sitting around getting one shotted by the Promethean pistol. Funny that that gun can 1 shot with a full charge but the Plasma pistol is still -Yoink-. So many things this game has wrong with it. Shields are gone so fast you lose.
I have plenty of complaints too, but this isn’t a very well thought out post. At the same time, we have plenty of posts addressing some of the big issues we have with the game already. You are only making yourself a target for “go cry somewhere else kid” responses and giving a bad name to those who actually have well thought out, legitimate posts criticizing elements of the game.

Look I have a lot of the same complaints as everyone else this thread is a vent thread. I just got done playing on the horribly laid out Haven map on Oddball. Getting killed by random people who somehow can camp in a corner with the Promethean Pistol and 1 shot me as I run by. Can’t win gun fights because it went from being ever who has the best gun skill to whoever has thier butt buddies there with them. In Halo 2 or 3 that wouldn’t have been such a big deal gunskill vs gunskill now it’s 2v1 they auto win. I was hoping so bad that this would be like 2 and 3 where you know gun skill actually meant something. Not just a simple game of numbers. Honestly I don’t care about the perks, and the drops, and the other features that are pretty much CoD rip offs. I do care that they took the time to keep the crappy -Yoink- DMR in the game make the BR useless in mid-long range, and totally ruined the gunskill aspect of the game itself. God how I miss being able to destroy people with BR gun skill. Now I’m getting sniped by DMR’s and ever who has the numbers wins the gunfights. I really feel like I’m playing a CoD: Welcome to Space game.
It just pisses me off that they don’t offer a beta to this charge over 100 bucks for the Limited Edition and I’m already so close to putting this in the closet along with Reach and letting them accumulate dust for all eternity as 2 of the -Yoink- games I’ve ever touched. Naturally as a huge Halo fan I bought the games most expensive version because that’s what I always do for Halo. I have the right to be totally and utterly disgusted and pissed off about spending my money on this garbage.
Not to mention the XP Cap glad all the DEW and Doritos I obtained were a waste as I get cockblocked after a couple SR Ranks. What pisses me off even more is that they don’t even put up official replies to anything. Can we get a reply as to why there is an XP cap for a system that doesn’t even have anything to do with skill. What about the other 20 playlists that aren’t there. So many things that need to be answered and yet noone replies to anything.
Honestly 1 fix could change so much of the game to bring back more of the (Halo) atmosphere. Buff the shields to take more dmg as they pop so fast it’s practically impossible to run away at all. Once ur in a gun fight it’s either you die or they die and if they have anyone even remotly near them guess what. You lose.

No, are you? That comment meant that once ur shield is popped you are done. Even in longer distance maps it’s likely you won’t get away as you die so damn fast you don’t even have time to move.

When a single blast from the Promethean one doesn’t just pop ur shield it kills you. Also it isn’t a matter of being in melee range. It’s a matter of running around a corner only to die instantly because the Bolt one shotted you before you even know someone was there.

Sigh it’s just so infuriating. It’s like I want to force myself to like it because I started my console gaming on Halo. It’s just so hard to come to like this game when it’s so much like Reach. Everyone I know was hoping it would be more like H3 atleast. Now my only hope is that if and when they do a remake of H2 or H3 they don’t totally butcher it like they did with CE. Giving it the Reach feel and what not. I returned that one less than 12 hours after buying it.

You could 3v1 easily in Reach.
Halo 4 takes it to a new level.
Yeah but don’t feel like bothering. I figure this thread will probably die or be removed shortly no reason to try and keep it nice and tidy really. My rage is almost gone anyway. I just need to find some people to play with that aren’t terrible so we can just go 2-5v1 kids since that’s the best and almost only method to getting kills without dying.

Well of course it kills you in one shot. It charges up half the bullets in the mag and shoots them at one time. You do know that Promethean Vision helps with campers. Im guessing you dont change yout taticts and you try the same thing over and over till it works but you die 5 times

How do you know if someone has bad aim? Killcams are far from reliable. Also, you should lose in a 3v1. If they are working as a team to kill you then you shouldn’t stand a chance. Your actually put into games with similarly skilled players so i doubt your playing against people who can’t aim(their killing you aren’t they?). Play Pro Slayer if you don’t like the new stuff, its pretty fun. If you want to be successful in this game then work with your team to flank and take out the opposing team.
The only reason you could take on 3v1’s in the other halos was because you would go up against people who weren’t that good. Now you play people at your skill level so while you have already put 2 bursts/shots into someone, him and his two teammates have already put 2 bursts/shots each into you, killing you.

Here’s something you should know: The boltshot takes superb timing to use, and you have to be incredibly close for it to one shot (same as a shotgun). Unlike the plasma pistol, the boltshot auto fires after a certain period of time. It can’t hold the charge.

I was waiting for that. You can’t just hold down the trigger on a plasma pistol either it drains rapidly and is boom out of charge. I have no issues in 1v1 fights out DMR/Light Rifling people but the BR is absolutely a waste of life in anything Mid-Long Range. It’s more of a close range weapon. The AR probably out does it though in close range. Hell the AR has killed me from mid range faster actually. The only reason I didn’t rage about the AR is because it’s probably the weapon I have the least deaths from compared to the Promethean Pistol and the DMR. It kind of irritates me when I’m literally on the other side of the map though and a kid can DMR me as if he was mid range from me when I’m sniping. That’s a different story though and I don’t have that issue a lot.
