match i went 20/8! i’m only a platinum so how could that possibly go down i mean 20/8 is amazing!

well its quite simple its a TEAM game , your individual performance outside win or loss dont count , if your team loses you loose rank and if you win you gain rank.
its been like this for well over a year now so nothing new , you just missed the memo.

Ya, i mean each person has there own rank and i just dont get how i do amazing and my rank downs down but if i do terrible and my team wins my rank goes up, i should be mainly affecting my own rank not the whole team affecting each others rank (Hopefully that makes sense lol)

I can’t count how many times I’ve had someone pull a 0-13 or a 2-10 and I’ve had a stellar game. I wish they’d weigh personal performance to some extent but unfortunately it doesn’t and it sucks at times.

It makes sense. I feel how you do in a game should affect your rank much more, it’s the same reason why I don’t play R6:Seige ranked (I go 10-1 against 5 gold 3 players and still am copper 4. Sigh…)
It’s a TEAM game people will say. If your team wins you rank up.
Its also the most stupid system ever put in place that lets players be carried to high ranks. I’ve played against several onyx players that should be gold. Team based ranking system hasn’t work. People have complained about uneven matches since release.
I wouldnt complain too much about it though. 343i’s answer to this would be to simply remove 4 player fireteams from matching and cap it at 2. Instead of actually coming up with a skill based matching system and matching teams vs teams. Because that’s much easier.
if it was personal ranking ppl wood ignore teamwork even more then they do now , the ida behind the ranking is that its a team effort to win and individual performance is not the focus , in other halo games that had a more individual ranking ppl wood betray a teammate to get a power weapon as there performance is more important then wining the game. do we want that , no we dont , i like the ranking system as it is , no id like it to be more like Overwatch where your ranke and the opponets rank is a factor on the gain / loss after the match.
To me it would make sence to remove the current system from being a Spartan rank and make it a team rank.
So your profile would state you are in this team and your team has ranked up to there. Allowing for substitute places as well but it would also say how many games each player has played in their team.
