Seriously. This game type could be pretty cool if it weren’t for the yoinking beam rifle. I mean seriously that is the only way people are playing the game. Snipe snipe snipe. It speeds the game up sure but if the point is to ground pound why do we have weapons.
If they want a weapon that kills, I say that it should be the Spartan Laser. That takes a real challenge.

Agreed. Although you can typically take out the snipers with a well-aimed ground pound, I was in one match earlier this weekend where the top five finishers were all sniping! It was impossible to avoid all of them.
In hindsight, they probably should have supplied the Spartans in this game type with a Battle Rifle instead of a Beam Rifle.

Or a hammer, because you know. You can ground pound with a hammer.
I was just in a game where the winner had 19 kills with the beam rifle and one with the magnum. Ugh!!!

Nah for this we should use hydra!! Mini missiles flying everywhere lol. Could work quite well except when teammates jumps in front of you as your firing.
Couldn’t agree more. Really defeats the purpose of ground pounding when the key to victory is clearly using the beam.
I’d rather they equip us all with shotguns for it. It would make it impossible to snipe people in mid-air, but if you miss, you might get shredded by 1 1/8 oz double-ought.
How about no bullet damage?
Definitely. Here, the purpose is to kill with ground pound. Not with a snipe. There already have a forge map for that…

I agree tbh, I got 20 kills with the Beam Rifle in under 2 mins 30. No ground pounds, I think why bother ground pound when I’ve got the mad sniping skills lol
I think that the beam rifle definitely defeats the purpose of the gametype. I agree with the spartan lasers or hydras, that would make it possible to still get kills with weapons, but still focused on the pound.
Beam rifle starts is ridiculous in this. Could be so much more fun and crazy if we spawned with shotguns and a hammer or a weapon that doesn’t allow easy kills while sitting in a corner. I’m really confused why you would make a ground pound arena then spawn everyone with magnums and beam rifles. Just a baffling decision that really ruins the intended flow and purpose of the map. Hopefully this gets addressed because Ground Pound Town would be a blast to play without getting sniped non stop.

Should be called Beam Town instead. The last time I played that mode the top two guys didn’t have single ground pound kill.
