Yoink Medal should be FFA only

The title says it all. Yoink should be a medal that is given out for taking the enemy kills in a FFA playlist. Not for stealing an assassination from a teammate.

Instead of being Yoinked in a team based game, the kill should always be rewarded to the person committing the assassination.

That is all assuming that assassinations will me in Halo 4. If they are not. Then I guess this post does not matter.

Edit:

In a team based game, instead of giving the person trying to still the kill a Yoink medal, they should earn an assist medal. The person performing the assassination should still get the kill.

Yoink should also be in Muti Team. EX: If you are on Blue team you can yoink a Gold team member assassinating a Red team member. But you will not be able to Yoink another Blue team member assassinating an Orange team member

No way! I take it you never had the moment when a player annoys the crap outta’ you all game and you yoik his kill to make him feel upset, its a great feeling, take it like revenge lol i dunno but i like Yoiking stupid players that shoot you for taking the sniper rifle or getting in the vehicle before them, that my friend is called pay back.

Actually I like this idea. I couldn’t think of a reason why to have the medal at all but I guess it does work in FFA. They should remove the ability to yoink in a team based game.

Yoink = good. It is basically a way to flip a teammate the bird and say “Hey, instead of trying to be ballsy, just get your kill and keep moving”.

> Yoink = good. It is basically a way to flip a teammate the bird and say “Hey, instead of trying to be ballsy, just get your kill and keep moving”.

Then there would be no reason for assassinations to exist.

And yeah, it should only count in FFA games. I had an awesome infection assassination in zombies yesterday, and another zombie strolled right up, PAUSED, and then decided to sword the guy right as I was almost finished. This is just uncalled for.

> Then there would be no reason for assassinations to exist.

There is no reason for assassinations to exist other than being juvenile.

> There is no reason for assassinations to exist other than being juvenile.

Uh…you wanna explain that one?

Learn to assassinate when you know you wont be getting Yoinked. If you think someone is close just melee them in the back. When you are assassinating someone you are offering another player a free kill whether he is on your team or in FFA

> Yoink = bad. It is basically a way to tell everybody that “Hey, I am not good enough to earn my own kills, so I’ll just get your kill and keep moving”.

Sounds more accurate.

There is nothing positive about taking the satisfaction of a sweet assassination away from your teammate. If you do this, you are telling every one that you are a BK/Tryhard. People like you who think they are proving some point by yoinking your team are a cancer to the game. You all are as bad as the players who betray team members for power weapons and vehicles, quitters, and AFKs.

Really?

Please.

Grow some thicker skin.

> Let’s just go to the source of the problems (animated assassinations) and get rid of it.

Too true. They look good but there is no place for them in MM. Leave them for FF and Campaign

That is only true because your team members can steal your assassination.

Personally I don’t care if the assassinations return in Halo 4 or not. But if they do return, would you be happy if your team member was able to steal your well earned assassination? Or would you want to get awarded the kill for your assassination weather or not your teammates shot the guy down a second before the animation was finished? Honest question that I want every one reading this to think about.

In my opinion yoink is a medal that encourages negative gameplay by rewarding teammates for stealing kills from one another.

Okay. So you would not perform the assassination if they made a comeback in Halo 4. At least not in MM. But you would still do them in Campaign and FF. If I got that right.

That is a fair view on the matter. Thank you for an honest answer.

I don’t really care being yoink’d as long as it is not happening to often.

Just make the person being assassinated invulnerable to damage while being assassinated, but the person performing the assassination can still be killed as normal.

Personally though, I’d prefer that assassinations didn’t return for Halo.

not a bad idea

I think if two people are on the same team, one assinates a guy and the other guy kills him. It should be called “Double Team!”

> Yoink = good. It is basically a way to flip a teammate the bird and say “Hey, instead of trying to be ballsy, just get your kill and keep moving”.

No, yoink means “I have no skill to get my own kills so i’m just gonna take your one”.
