Yo, what is a M247 HMG?

I’ve got a challenge called “Jorge Would Be Proud: Kill an Enemy Spartan with the M247 HMG in PvP”

I just have one question: What the hell is that?

I scrolled through the weapons and vehicles in the menu, and none of them are called M247 HMG.

Its the turret on the warthog.

it’s the chaingun turret. NOT the warthog turret, for me it doesn’t register for the challenge. i think it’s on a BTB map, to the left of the spawns.

It might not be but it does count warthog kills towards the challenge.

I think that’s the turret you can rip the top off of like back in halo3 ya know?

The only problem i see with this is so far i’ve only seen the turret on fracture, though considering the warthog uses the same gun I wonder if that would count as well.
