For those of you who are as ancient as I am, you might remember the 1999 announcement trailer for Halo (the one with Steve Jobs, yeah) and how it showed us something that was missing in the final release of CE: wildlife. Now, I know that the Halo: Infinite trailer is mostly a tech demo for the (amazing as all hell) new engine that 343 have cooked up, but man I REALLY hope they do integrate wildlife into the experience of exploring the new Halo ring. It would really help build a sense of wonder. Also I just want to watch a grunt ride a space rhino. Is that too much to ask!?
I know. SO hyped if this is something we can expect from the game.
Yeah I’m assuming since they took the time to model all those different creatures and they were a focus of the trailer, that they’ll play some part in the game. I liked the minor inclusion of wildlife in Halo Reach, would be cool if they made them more of a feature in Halo Infinite.
I’m interested to see what they’ll do with wildlife in the game, but I won’t be surprised if they’re cut from the final game. This is not the first time Halo showcased wildlife in their trailer.
I figure it’ll be 50/50 chance on whether we have wildlife in the final game or not. They could have plans for it or it could just be for the tech demo. Who knows?

The wildlife is definitely one of those little things that help bring the environment to life and its definitely a positive thing to see that they are in the trailer.
Though Halo has had some wildlife in them before like quadwings in Halo 2, various fish like creatures in multiple games, moas, gùtas, and many others I would hope this to continue in this next installment.
And that riding sequence wouldnt be a half bad idea for an easter egg in the game. And in other words if english feels confusing to someone, pretty good.
Also, did people use quadwings for target practise occasionally in Halo 2? I personally tested that what moving things were actual objects and what were just phased, moving pieces of scenery. Also, grenade fishing.
Also, little things matter too like the pests in Halo 2 where you freed those marines from covenant cells. Like alien cockroaches.
