Yo dawg, I hEARD YOU LIKE CUSTOM LOADOUTS

I don’t.
In my opinion, adding custom loadouts to the game changes one of the foundations of halo multiplayer; when you start a game you have the same tools as everyone else. I’ll admit that has changed slightly in Reach, but you still have access to the same tools. In my opinion th is is not a good change for the halo franchise, and it seems more like change for no other reason than to make a change. In my opinion with these changes the game wouldn’t have the same feel as the others, and if these changes have to go through I would at least like the options to play without them in the form of a playlists or something along those lines.

I can see alot problems in custom loadouts in competitive games (invasion is fine with it) first off what I call medium power weapons such as the plasma pistol/rifle smg, needler, dmr/br (on certain maps and game types) are not as pivotel as a splazer or sniper but having plasma weapons from the spawn gives people the oppurtunity to easily destroy vehicles and sheilds with ease, also the other weapons give advantages to players in certain maps and circumstances. My final problem with custom classes is that I will bet there will be atleast one perk, aa, weapon, (possibly attachment) setup that will be cheap like cold blooded in blops or the type 95 with good perks in mw3 also the recoiless lmg with thermal and grip in mw3

Its not really all that different to reach. Say for example, i always pick sprint in halo reach save for one map (spire). If i chose sprint in my custom loadout, that means i will always start out with sprint. I can change it after the match, but i will always use sprint. Same goes for weapons. If i always use the DMR instead of the BR, AR, Carbine, Assault Carbine, then that means i choose that gun in my Custom loadout. And it isnt a drastic change either.

In short, you wont know how it will play out until you get your copy of halo 4.

Oh yes, i know sprint isnt an armor ability in halo 4, i used that as an example of an AA.
