YET ANOTHER sprint related thread

Sprint- you pop an opponents shields, they are only able to run away IN THE DIRECTION THEY ARE FACING (you cant sprint sideways/backwards)

No sprint/faster base movement speed- you pop an opponents shields, they are able to run away IN ANY DIRECTION (backwards and sideways)

Sprinting to catch up to him makes me stop shooting.

Faster Base movement speed allows me to move and shoot.

You’re missing one thing.

No one is going to “run away” while moving at the same speed as everyone else. Plus if they do try to disengage then you can still shoot them while maintaining the “chase”.

How can you “escape” when both players are moving the same speed without sprint?

Good point but the enemy sprinting away also loses the ability to shoot until they stop sprinting

And this is good for kill times how?

I don’t run when i am 1 shot you run when you don’t have the upper hand or they get the first three shots on you/you are getting team shot.

sprint + sword = broken.

sprint + hammer = broken.

sprint + 2 melees = broken.

try playing reach using any other ability for an extended amount of time, i use camo most of the time and when i am forced to use sprint, ie “slayer pro”, it feels like i am cheating.

Your OP makes no sense. How does taking away sprint make sprinting away “worse”? You can’t sprint away anymore since nobody has sprint. <mark>Everyone moves at the same speed.</mark>

It’s not about direction on the map, it’s about having faster kill times, which taking away sprint helps that.

Not that I put myself in this position often but if it were the case and i couldn’t get away.

i’d put as many shots on the enemy while desheilded as possible and make a call out to my team mates to finish him off.

That is called “Challenging”.

It’s not a misconception.

You facing forward argument is null and void because this occurance is normally when someone isn’t facing you.

And it’s not like we would increase the base speed to sprint speed. -.-

Very good points, but its not like 343i cant make it so that (in Halo 4) after sprint you have to wait an extra second or two before you are able to melee/use melee power weapons.

They should also nerf base melee damage so it takes more than one strike to bring down shields and add a nerfed (so its not so unpredictable) bleedthrough system so that firing your weapon is more viable than using it as a baseball bat

Blame everyone that raged about sword block now you dont have anything to counter it. As for double melee well that doesent have a lunge like the sword does so if you cant take him out before he puts in the two melees then you got outplayed.
