Hey, 343i, can we get any sort of acknowledgment about this issue that is plaguing the game at the moment. You know, the one which is forcing pretty much everyone who isn’t an american into yank servers. Which pretty much destroys the multiplayer aspect of the game for a large part of the community.
Protip: people don’t actually like high ping.
Also protip: You’re currently pushing a competitive contest for Halo MCC (Pushing being the keyword, since you aren’t actually running it) and yet your servers don’t even work. How is this supposed to entice people to actually play the game.

Yes, people are aware. Sarcasm aside, that is/will be a welcome change, if not long overdue alongside input based matchmaking. But that doesn’t actually address the issue here, which is a complete and utter lack of information/communication from 343 for problematic issues, on their own forums, about their own game.
I am salty, because I can not play my damn game since latency keeps screwing me sideways.

yeah seems they’re content to stay silent about this issue, 343 have never cared about their non american player base and it shows.

The latest development blog mentioned their progress on selecting what server you want to play on. They have been working on this for a few months now. It’s coming, most likely, in the next update AFTER ODST. Try to keep yourself updated with their news.

Replying to Varuuna on this thread since my others got locked. (expected, im not upset about that, i spammed the forums of course they were gonna get locked). maybe if one of you blokes who locked my posts could pass on the issue to someone who can do something about it? that’d be nice.
Not getting into H3’s netcode cause thats not what this discussion is about, i merely mentioned it because its the game where lag is most noticeable.
Okay, lets say that is the case, and they have run out of servers to put us on. That still is not acceptable, and needs to be fixed. But i really don’t think that is the case because back when the game was at its peak population, when far more players were on than are now, we were getting Australian servers just fine.
I don’t really care what’s causing the issue at the end of the day, it just needs to be fixed, and so far no indication has been made that its going to be. I don’t care about the server selection update several months from now. I don’t wanna be forced to endure -Yoink- laggy matches or just Not play the game for all that time. I think its perfectly reasonable to say waiting 7 years to able to play on a server in my own country is is a bit -Yoinked!- up.
