Honestly I didn’t want to believe it at first, but after this week’s challenges, it’s clear to me the game purposefully rigs matchmaking so that you don’t join the modes required for the challenges.
Whenever I get a mode specific challenge I auto swap it, or else i end up regretting not doing so/
If this keeps happening by Dec. 8th, I consider byctting the campaign, I like the game but why support a company with such poor consumer standards
I’m noticing a pattern here too. Also, any time the challenge says to destroy a warthog watch out…it means completely. The only way to actually do that is with rockets or with a skewer if they’re already injured. Anything else give them the countdown timer and allows them to escape. Shooting people out of the hog doesn’t count for the challenge. It’s extremely hard to actually get it to work and finish the challenge
Hey wait til you get into the ranked mode. Then you’ll really start noticing some pretty underhanded matchmaking techniques. If you’re having an off day, the matchmaker will set you up to lose on purpose by pairing you with lower ranked players or players who are on tilt or also having an off day. And de-rank you even though you sacrificed your KD to play the OBJ and won the game. Instead of giving you a fair chance at a win, the game sets you up for a loss. Especially annoying since the aiming controls on controller input are so bad, I go in and out of the training area practicing with different sensitivity settings. None of them all that great either.
Finally I can agree to this 100%! Imagine still winning a match but oops, you went neg so I have to give you that sweet red bar. Love going from Platinum 5 to Platinum 4 because my team quits on me!
I think something is up, it definitely feels rigged. My challenges are as follows:
I played for several hours last night stuck on these 3x challenges. Every BTB I got into I ended up on the losing team, despite a high score individually. I didn’t get Strongholds at all, and maybe Total Control once. It shouldn’t be this way. Just utterly infuriating.
I hear ya. Why sweat and grind the challenges for a morsel of cheese when there are other stores with better cheese! I had the same experience and have now regulated myself as a casual Halo player. When you see the uploaded videos of cheaters on YouTube and in your Theater with the high stats and the unlocked armor, makes you contemplate the worth of it all. Halo campaign drops soon and in February and March new games drop, how much time for Halo Infinite MP?
