I took a break after first learning about the Rank reset. Came back a couple of days and I thought I would have invigorated energy…but all the problems I have with Infinite just burnt me out quickly after the first 2 matches as Unranked.
I remember how much I hate objectives let alone being FORCED to play it.
I remember I hate the spawns in this game.
I remember not really liking the maps in this game. Not a single one. Didnt play Halo 5 but there was maybe at least 1 or 2 maps in Halo 4 I actually liked. But this game? Nah.
I remember the sheer lack of content and playlist options this game had to offer.
I remember the horrible radar.
I remember the horrid meleee.
Im taking the “if you dont like it, dont play it option” for this game. Halo gave me hope when it came to multiplayer games, but now? Its just another hollow multiplayer game of the modern era of gaming. And this is one we will be stuck with the next decade. Splendid. Well, everyone else, good luck, have fun.
With ya man, normally I have a want to play again after taking a break for a period of time after getting frustrated, especially when it comes to Halo. Really been the only series Ive enjoyed since CE but with all the issues this game has I just have zero motivation to come back and it sucks. This game had so much potential and 343 just ruined it.
Three things that must change for me to come back:
Symmetrical weapon spawns
Symmetrical vehicle drops
Disable cross play feature.
I don’t think it’s a sweat fest as much as this game completely relies on team work alone and doesn’t allow/reward individual skill. Halo used to be a solid 50/50 between the two. Now it’s like 90/10. If that.
Well you saved yourself from a scam ranking system, it knows what games you will lose and what you will win and after a few games you win it gives you double the losses and puts you back in the spot you were in to make you keep playing.
Unfortunately, Microsoft wasted too much money on Infinite, so I doubt they will let up on this blatant cash grab any time soon. So it’s alright man, take a long break from Halo and come back whenever 343 finally completes and releases the finished version of Infinite. In the meantime, let all the teenagers and compulsive consumers “fuel the future of gaming” by purchasing cosmetics. lol
So true. The parents who let their kids spend hundreds of dollars on fortnite ruined gaming for the rest of us by legitimizing that as a viable business model. Modern gaming is garbage.
It always baffled me to see people spend hundreds of dollars on a F2P game. I have friends that won’t buy newer games because they have hundreds of dollar sunk into Fortnite customizations. I wish people didn’t have mashed potatoes for brains
They did to Halo, what Activision did to World of Warcraft. They turned it into a cookie cutter theme park ride game. And not even a GOOD one. There are good cookie cutter games out there.
Play this way, succeed, no fun involved, but success is achievable lol. Play any other way, you lose the success factor.
It’s a huge disappointment.
I’ve spent more time crashing since the update/reset than I have actually playing. Idk what they broke, but they broke something.
i dont like ranked, and i’ve more or less given this game up as my main shooter, i’ve gone back to MW2019 because it has good gun play and a progression system outside of a battle pass,

I’m so glad I was on the ball ahead of everyone. I got a ton of skips from Rockstar and Pringles, finished every weekly within the day, even the first week double reset, and blew through the Battle Pass in December. I’ve only had to play once a month for Tenrai, and the other events. Now that I finished Tenrai, I don’t have to play Infinite at all anymore. I have so many friends still slogging through Tenrai and Battle Pass, suffering through this game as it gets worse and worse, breaking more every update.
I fully understand why you’re all in so much pain. I got everything out of the way before the storm hit, and now it’s borderline impossible to play at all. I gotta say, if you feel like you need a break from Infinite, take one.
Get Tenrai out of the way I guess, but the Battle Pass won’t expire. You can pop in for Tac Ops, since there is NO ROADMAP for any future events, so you can basically just finish Tenrai and drop the game until Season 2, or Season 3 even. If we get a roadmap, pop in once or twice a month for events, but don’t force yourself to play this monstrosity any more than you absolutely need to
Very true. I’ve just purchased Elden Ring and encouraging some of my friends to do so too, but many of them won’t because they are so used to being drip fed “free” games on GamesPass. This doesn’t quite tie in to the Fortnite issue but it is part and parcel of modern gaming. I also have and paid for 3 years of GamesPass but apart from Halo Infinite, I’m yet to play another game (albeit I have downloaded some). I much prefer the old model of “buy game and play it to death” then move on once the next big title comes along.

As a BTB player that waited far to long for the BTB fix (Far far to long)
Only to still have three maps & only two decent modes, slayer & CTF (stockpile/strongholds = trash)
Absolutely sick of the unbalanced weapon spawns in bases, weapon spawns in bases should have been fixed weeks ago to be mirrored, should be a easy fix right?
Sick of RNG heavy vehicles which the dominating team are more likely to get.
And due to sbmm as I have a decent kd in btb the games idea of balance is to constantly give me half a team that do nothing and very often go negative 10-18 deaths. (I have had games where 9 players on my team are negative double digits)
When nearly every BTB game I have is like this it just becomes a frustrating waste of time.
No way are those players going negative so bad going to stick around & the people that can play are just getting frustrated by them.
Has to be the worst matchmaking I have ever seen, 343 are basically killing there game with this, as more people get fed up & leave the worse MM will get!
On top of this 343 dont seem to want to communicate with their community unless its twitter posts about promoting stuff from the shop or HCS.
343 are just to slow at doing anything, worst communication & live service I have ever seen.
And lastly as a PC player well it don’t seem like 343 care about PC & have no interest in balancing the game (sniper still has anti aim FFS!)
They have ignored the PC community for months now about performance & crashes
I wont be wasting my time on Infinite anymore, it doesn’t deserve it.
