I got placed into onyx after my placement games. Unfortunately I only play swat for fun and I only have a KD just above one in swat. I only got put in onyx because I got put with great teams during my placement games. Now I have to play against try hards for the rest of the month.

Same, got placed in Onyx off the bat and now every other match has Champions in it. Bout to make a new account with the included gold trial just so I can play for fun again lol. T_T

Onyx 1700~ right now. I found a couple of randoms that were good and invited me to play with them, had like 12 games win streak. So good.
How does this ranking system works? I received Onyx 1500 in Free for all and I only won one out of the ten placement matches.

I had thought that it would take a percentage of your wins and convert that into a rank?

It’s weird, I only won 4/10 in Team Arena and placed in Diamond while my friend won 7/10 and was placed in lousy Gold lmao.

Teaming up is the way to go, went from Onyx 1500 to Onyx in 1908 in one night after finding a decent group of randoms to play with. So much better than the rage you feel when a random Onyx player (only in name) goes 1-17 and costs you the game. How does that even happen?

I’m got 1500 Onyx, I’d swear the ranking is broken, but some of my best games were against entirely onyx teams.

I think atleast for the Swat playlist, Onyx means you’re competent at the gametype. I don’t think any of my friends have scored any lower than Onyx.

Same here. First world problems man. My K/D is just under 1.1 which makes me cringe but playing with other Onyx’s will do that kind of thing.
