I do like the avatars here but I also think that the community should make and submit avatars for use on these forums.
I know we can make some very neat Halo avatars using programs like photoshop, gimp and even paint.
Plus, if we as a community work on making avatars for the site to be approved, time for site development for avatars is almost not needed.
The avatar selection here is pretty slim. I think this is a good idea.
Or even get some of the better ones from Bungie.net.
But yeah, can’t go wrong with more avatars. Gives us some individuality.
How about some of those screenshots from B.net? They have some pretty good ones there that would make excellent avatars. Now watch as this topic gets deleted for NO REASON WHATSOEVER.
there arent that many but i do like the halo book covers as my avatar. but maybe someone will make something like Coup D bungie but modified for these forums.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that there isn’t that many good ones to choose from.
Cortana is the only kind of good one.
Seeing as it’s only in beta at this stage, this is something they should implement in to the finished thing.
I expect when this board comes out of beta that we will be able to use in game shots from our file share or something like our xbox live avatars or shots of our armor.

Yeah, the avatars right now are low rez cut and pastes from the Halo books, screenshots, etc.
I think you just want to have your avatar from bnet over here.

Nothing is stopping you from making them… I’ll just put it that way. Make one (or some, or LOTS) for fun. Maybe, just maybe I can devise a way for you to submit them to me (don’t think this means that I have any power above any other user on this forum, I just like the idea!) so that way I can forward them to bs angel.

When I was getting my custom avatar fitted I was told that I could choose “Anything official from the games, along with user-generated content,” so your in game screenshots count, but something that just has Halo in it like Halo Kitty, doesn’t. Get it?
Addition: I’d suggest keeping the custom content like words, stamps, or anything else additional out of it. Not to say your creations aren’t awesome or witty, just not allowed for this game.
Again, so I am VERY clear. I can not promise that anything you guys make will be considered or created for the site. And I am in no way capable of making it happen by myself. But we all know BS Angel loves her community. As I recall someone made a custom picture for her, and she ended up using it as her own avatar. So give it a shot. Who knows what will come of it.

I made BS Angel her avatar. I think several of us were trying to come up with a halowaypoint logo or favicon in a thread and I chimed in with several logos.
