Yapyap and choppers

I don’t know how many people noticed but yappers is the only leader that can’t really build choppers in the beginning. The supply pick up rate of the fodders is deadly slow. You have to build more fodders to grab more supplies then maybe you can build choppers but it’s already 2:00 by then and choppers are slow builds. This needs to be changed somehow, every leader should be able to open with choppers if desired to counter rush or whatever. It’s not fun to narrow down builds and choices because it affects the different outcomes of the game and thus affecting and limiting strategy.

I do think Cannon Fodder’s pick up rate needs to be buffed. That would fix it

Well yapyap is more of a rush character with how fast you can make cannon fodder and grunt mechs. So I think they should buff the pick up rate, not sure about the choppers though.

I don’t even waste my time picking up resources as yap yap. I just harass the opponent with cannon fodder instead. If I manage to kill a few grunt squads or marines then i deprived the opponent of resources without spending anything.

The thing about that is he can’t sqeeze out a chopper early game as he must build to prevent a rush. I mained Yap for a while and his early game is pure garbage but his mid and late game is one of his greatest advantage.

A yapyap mirror happened and the opponent tried that with me. I ignored them and destroyed the guy; fodders just aren’t good for much except scouting and grabbing mini bases and supporting an army by splitting toward the opponent. I truely believe a slight buff would put yapps more in line with the other leaders. Unggoys Unite!!

what do you do late game? Thats a good question. If someone builds air, mass Heavy Grunts and a few Reavers with few Wagons. If someone builds lots of vehicles build lots of Heavy Grunts and some Hunters with Methane wagons. If some goes infantry, build Heavy Grunts with Grunt Riders and Methane. If you wan’t to kill a base very easily, use Methane Wagon with massed Heavy Grunts and Locusts. Heavy Grunts and Methane are good for just about any situation.

I did notice that heavy grunts plus -Yoink!- wagons are very powerful. Combine that with locusts and counters that are appropriate and he is a force to be reckoned with. Also upgrading the -Yoink!- wagons is sooooooo awesome, the reach of the buff and debuff of the gas is great!
