i fully agree, but maybe make the supply cost something that is tiny, but can add up, like maybe 10-20 supply

I love the idea of Cannon Fodder only being produced from main bases. This will limit how fast you can max pop and upgrade base technology tiers.
Or 20 supply per CF would do. Any more would be too much for what they are worth.
Adding a cost of 10 or 20 supplies per fodder changes nothing.
40 fodder equals 400 supplies if 10 each or 800 if 20 each. You would still be able to buy all the expansions and extractors and nodes you want.
methane party needs to be nerfed too.
kinsanos inferno is more expensive and recharges slower than methane party.

Its telegraph can stun units the same way forge ScatterBomb does and to any one who doesn’t know it deals Almost the same damage as an Erad and only cost 400/400 with half the CD.
If they just made them cost like 20 and buff their dmg vs sentinels. It would be a step in the right direction. It’s hard to tell what they should eventually cost without sitting and testing interactions. Because they are free, your eco can snowball. It’s not the strength of fodder they have some health but no damage which seems right. The problem is that they are free and you can pick up money with them which means all resources you pick up are pure profit. You don’t need to wait for them to pay off at all. You can nerf them into the floor but as long as they are free and pick up money, they will still be OP.
I think Blaky suggested switching them with Heavy grunts? So they can only be built from barracks.
That’s an idea I can get behind, because it would cost to start making them initially, and by then, you can have already gathered supply.
It may not completely solve the problem however.

If I could start building heavy grunts off the bat scout vehicles would be relocated to only scouting and I agree that would cause issues

Not my idea, just something I read on the discord. But in that same post I said I didn’t liked it.

Their effective against scouts, that’s why I don’t think it would be a sensible choice.

Yes
The issue i see with any hp nerf to cannon fodder is atriox and decimus. atrioxs splash damage causes about 7 cannon fodder to lose about a third of their health every shot with just the first upgrade and if you have to go against decimus the y ability could one shot an entire army unless you went infantry 1 quick

Thinking like this (wanting more leader power spam at a decreased cost) is the last thing this game needs. This game should be about army composition and building units, not spamming leader powers every minute. Leader powers are there for support to your army and to be used strategically… not just spammed in every engagement
The cost/ cooldown of methane party certainly needs an increase
So YapYap is genuinely OP as many predicted? I havent had the time to play this meta enough to have my own definitive judgement.
