I am confused why people are complaing about some aspects of halo 4. I see them complain about music, graphics, guns, gun sounds, multiplayer, heck i even saw someone complain about halo 4’s graphics being too good.
In my opinion i am happy the way halo 4 is going. People are saying that its becoming cod. Just for your info i hate cod. That being said developing a game is a joint operation. developers take ideas from other games and put there twist on it trying to improve it. Take the dead space series, they took resident evil gameplay and added their own twist to it. They allowed u to move while shooting. this made wat would of been a stale game into a well rounded game.
If one plays halo multiplayer now (which i do) they will notice how the amount of players that play at one time is pretty small (about 90000 depending on the day). to counter this 343i turn to the most played multip;layer which is sadly cod. They took the idea of perks, kill streaks and weapon loadouts and balanced it out so no one person can become powerful from the start. the truth is most people will stick to 1 loadout most likly the br. so the fact that people still complain about things they wont use confuses me. i hope they figure out that they have a right to their own opinion but i believe before you state it they should actually think ifthey will use it or do the research before saying their opinion.
Rule #1 of humanity: Given anything that exists, it is guaranteed that there will be masses upon masses of people who will complain about it.
Corollary to Rule #1: The degree to which the complainers are vocal about the subject is directly proportional to the square of the popularity of the subject in discussion.
why dont people not like reach. its not my favorite halo but i still play it. is it because its different or because of some other reason. change is a good thing if halo didnt change halo would of died out. and this whole community would of went over to bf cod or gears. which not alot of people like but still play. i love the halo story and i dont want to see it go away or be the same as the last game.
(sigh)…I haven’t heard anybody complain about some of the things you said. Everybody should be happy that we’re getting a Halo 4, and being able to play as the Master Chief once again. NO game is perfect, but I think Halo 4 looks great in every way, the only thing that worries me slightly in the multiplayer, hopefully they’ll be a classic playlist.
People don’t like change. I’m sure a lot of people would love for things to just stay the same or be perfect the way they want it to be. I agree with you, Halo 4 is looking good the way things are going. I’m a big Halo fan and I like the change. This is a new trilogy people have to expect changes. Someone did bring up a good point though. People who are angry or like to complain outside of constructive criticism like to vocalize their anger. On almost any game the comments you see a lot is the angry ones. Don’t worry though I’m sure a lot of people beyond the trolls and over angry people, there are a lot of people excited for Halo 4.
Well i for one hope that the gun sounds we heard at E3 are not the the final versions of the sounds. Halo Reach’s guns sound amazing and they sound powerful. I’d be ok if they toned that down a bit, but only a tiny bit. The graphics are of course going to be better then what we saw and should be better than Halo Reach’s graphics.
> I see them complain about music, graphics, guns, gun sounds, multiplayer,
That’s because some things about bad. And when things are bad, people tend to vocalize their discontent for those things.
Unless you wish to actually offer counters to these arguments I see now reason why you’re making a thread just to say “I like something and other people don’t like it. STOP DISLIKING WHAT I LIKE! I DON’T LIKE THINGS THAT ARE DIFFERENT!”. Because that’s all you’re doing. I hope you know that.
You’ve only offered one or two very feeble and not-so-fleshed-out counters to the points you’ve talked about that amount to nothing more than stating your opinion that was not backed up by any actual reasoning at all as well as talked about blind hypotheticals with no logical reasoning to base them on.
To put it simply, some people have different opinion about the game and are entitled to them. They are allowed to express their opinions as well. I love almost everything I see about Halo 4, but I do understand why others wouldn’t.
If nobody ever had opposing views, the conversations on this forum would get stale quickly. Of course, just because somebody doesn’t like something, that doesn’t mean they should be aggressive or hateful.

How dare they, those heretics will suffer the wrath of the Gods!!!
But on a serious note, the game looks freaking amazing. The music is awesome, graphics are the best I’ve ever seen on a console, guns look amazing, multiplayer looks so fun, and the gun sounds sound just right…ok maybe there’s one or two that could be better but that is nothing in comparison to the overall game. I can’t wait to play it come time November 6th.
Sure OP, you’re right in many ways, but one must remember that no clone can ever be better then the original. It’s better to make something new and improved, instead of just trying to “update” an old system. CoD is popular partly because it brought those things and made it mainstream, thing Halo could have brought but did not.
Sure, Halo needs to bring the new features that CoD brought that is standard now like join in progress and such, but equally important is that Halo bring new features that CoD needs to have too. Halo got to have some own, unique and new elements too, spartan ops is good but MP shown so far seems like an updated Reach, CoD or Crysis. I’ve yet to see anything “new”, and ordnance drop system is btw a lot like Battlepoint system from Homefront, more so then killstreaks.

Im pretty sure what makes COD mainstream is not all the perks, classes, etc. But the fact that is an easy to master game it appeals to people. I can just pick it up and play and get this sense of enjoyment without having to be a veteran hardcore player because its easy to point and shoot and you get an almost instant kill. It appeals to people not having to spend time to become good at the game.

That’s what everyone complaining about this stuff does. They’ll come on, say “Halo is going to be CoD”, and only bring up (very weak) points when somebody challenges their view. If there is any reasoning, it’s always very weak, and most often boils down to “it’s not like Halo 3, raaaaaage”.
Just because a dozen or so people like to come on and rage about what they don’t like doesn’t mean anything. I’ve heard a couple people on another site go on about how that “Prometheus” movie was boring, stupid, etc., and for a little while I thought that most people thought that way. Turns out, it was actually hailed as an awesome film by most everyone who saw it.
Point being, angry people are louder and satisfied people don’t have anything to yell about.
Until November 6 when the world will explode from the millions of cheers of Halo fans worldwide.
