Y’all excited for Infection and griffball with strict SKBMM?

I think rigging the games matches for people with no thumbs and 12 year olds is a good step in the right direction. Are you guys excited for basic modes that are supposed to be casual fun becoming sweat feats?

people who complain about hidden SKBMM tend to just be upset they can’t stomp those who never played an FPS game before. if you’re a sweaty player you get matched against other sweats.

People who straw man people who are upset about SKBMM as saying they just want to stomp usually can’t play and want the games to be rigged for them

  • there are plenty of reasons not to like SKBMM besides just wanting to stomp. I usually played ranked exclusively before SKBMM came into Halo 5 so idk what ur talking about

I don’t see any reason why sbmm shouldn’t exist in those two playlists.

Because they are playlists that are fun because you have a variety of skill groups coming together making it more chaotic especially for grifball the game gets too organized and sweaty if everyone is in the same skill group.

If I’m significantly better than anyone in any gametype, it generally isn’t fun for them or I.

But it’s grifball and infection the skill ceiling is already significantly lower because u have 1 shot weapons and if there is no SKBMM most of the people in the lobby are going to be average since there are more players of that type.

Yeah sbmm doesn’t belong in social/fun playlists. Social should be a mishmash of every skill level, win some, lose some, who cares it’s a game. The forced ~50% win rate and sweats you get with sbmm just isn’t fun

100% I am honestly regretting every good game I have because I know I will be matched with people who are just cracked mechanically. I even makes all your good game feel bitter sweet.

I agree sbmm can make games difficult to enjoy, but I suppose that’s the price of being a sweat.

There shouldn’t be a significant one like this most of those people put years of practice to get better to improve. Even the new players at some point will wonder why they just can’t seem to get better results.

Player data shows sbmm improves player retention so makes sense to me. I just see no joy in Grifball when the other team have zero mechanical skill. We either win 5-0 instantly or spawn camp them for 12 minutes. No fun for them or me.

MMR needs to be removed or at least toned back considerably in all non-ranked playlists. MMR in non-ranked playlists is turning the whole game into a sweat fest.

Yes, I am excited. It’s not fun to play the game if you’re getting stomped 7 games out of 10.

It ruins the potential fun the game could have in the long run for most players when they see their results improving .Player retention is only good for the company as it means more micro transactions overall.

Player retention is good for everyone because it helps better games via sbmm.

Realistically as long as it isn’t too tight, it is better for every player. It’s not tight in social so I’m not really sure what the main issue is.

having a variety of skill groups together in a match is only fun for good players and very unfun for new players.

But there are more average players in a large game for new players to fight. Good players are rare that’s why the are considered good. When you are just picking up a game most people don’t expect to go double positive or even even that’s why you play to get better.

  • The type of people who drop a new game because they aren’t doing well at first are the same type of people that go wherever the new trend and what’s their favorite streamer is playing. They aren’t the type of people that make the game better.
