If population is quite low on kbm, you could be in for a real bad ride without crossplay.
I appreciate its probably a much less fun way to play Infinite for most players though in general. Halo was made for controllers.

We believe supporting crossplay as our primary avenue for players to match make is important to maintaining healthy and populated matchmaking experience for players to find matches quickly.
