We can all get that double XP where ever we want to this weekend since it is playlist-wide.

I don’t get why they would take it away after this weekend ? Why can’t they do it every weekend like they have been ? It only brings more players on
But it’s nice to be able to play whatever playlists you want and still get the bonus

They did state from the very beginning that this was a summer thing. Get your time in, and we’ll see where it goes with the future of double XP.

Yea I know they said that but they could just keep it going if they wanted. I’m just trying to understand the reasoning behind taking it out. I know for myself the weekend is the only time I can play more than an hour or two. Then with the double XP I find myself wanting to play longer. It just usually brings in more players because more people have time on the weekend.
Yea double rp would be a good thing for the newer players. I think they just need to increase the rp you earn though especially in arena. It’s pretty much half what you get in warzone

That has been something that has been asked for since the beginning. The payout obviously favors Warzone players. I have unlocked everything at this point and don’t really care either way, but I look forward to Halo 6 if/when we don’t have this type of XP system anymore.
I agree with a previous statement saying DXP should be every weekend. I’m quite positive it wouldn’t hurt the player base, maybe even help it. You think they lose money in some way for doing DXP? Always wondered that.

In regards to one hour of playing only, what would net the most xp? Mythic firefight is another but the most you’ll get in an hours worth is roughly 3 matches I would assume.

It’s not the number of matches but the amount of XP and RP. LTN, on youtube, back when Mythic FF first became available, showed that Mythic gave out the most in both XP and RP despite whether you win or not. However, some of his calculations has been disproven, but he seems to be the only one of the Halo youtubers that has tried to determine this.
In general, if all you are looking for this the most payout than Warzone is going to be it. No matter which WZ playlist you choose. WZ pays out more than Arena hands down.

I have noticed that this usually kicks in, for me at Eastern Standard Time, in the early afternoon hours. So around 1-4 pm EST.
So that would be 6-8pm UK time. What I would suggest is, if you are waiting mainly to play in this double XP, keep checking back on the game to see when it is on the Message of the Day.
At the time of this posting it is about 8:30 am for 343 so I would assume most of them are just starting their day. They need to get settled and then get it set up to add the Double XP to matchmaking.
Note: If you are online and waiting for this to pop up it often time won’t. You have to restart the game before it becomes available.

All good things come to an end, honestly I thought the dxp was to entice players to play certain playlists more rather than getting more exp … since the population isn’t amazing lately.

I thought the same thing. When the double xp events are up, it’s usually pretty easy to grab a game

This could be part of what is happening. This was posted this past Monday:

Are you searches timing out completely, or are you just quitting the search and trying over? I would say with these new changes you should keep searching until it times out. I noticed a longer search time, but I keep with my initial search.
Either way, since this isn’t a thread dedicated to that you might want to go to the matchmaking forum that Josh has for this and report what is happening for you. Also, keep up with his twitter to help you stay on top of what is going on with MM in more real time then the forums.
