You seriously need to change the XP system. Noone wants to feel like it’s a chore to get XP by farming challenges. Add a performance based XP system.

I’m convinced its a bug in the build
There will 100% be XP given for completeing games, otherwise the battlepass will be far too grindy for anyone with actual…you know life commitments

Yeah I really hope it’s either a bug or they have a better plan for the live build. They really aren’t wanting people to play if there is no incentive to really grind the game
Fairly sure the XP is bugged, challenges such as “Practice makes perfection” which just require you to play 4 of any match types, might say 2/4 or 3/4 even when I’ve played well over that. Have faith. I’m certain they will award XP just for playing games.

Mmm, I agree to an extent. I think they’ve begun to earn back some respect with what we’ve seen of Halo Infinite so far, and overall the community response has been positive. Cautious optimism will continue to be the best approach.

Does anyone know how many weekly challenges there actually is before you get that armor coating?
And I agree, not everyone wants to just aim for getting the challenges done, I’m level 17 and actually looked back and realized I’ve done nothing but challenges to get experience. I don’t recall getting a boost for absolutely murdering the bots. (Which could be a little tougher in my opinion.)
100% They need EXP like Halo 5 / Halo Reach. Challenges are a chore and you should be rewarded for every game you play in some manner. Otherwise it feels like a chore and tedious / unfun.

I believe I did 8-10 total challenges. I don’t have the exact number because of technical issues. I swapped all the ones I could not do. The 10th was some final hidden one to kill 50 enemy Spartans.

Ummmm, yes they did. They did since Halo Wars 2
I think they will definitely add game completion XP otherwise why would they have XP boost packs available.
I think its more for testing the challenge system more then anything
My thinking gas been that it’s only turned off for this build. If challenges are the only way to get XP, then yeah, I’ll be pissed.
I think this is a bug, but I’m still putting a lot of effort into explaining why this should be fixed in the survey on the 2nd because that’d really be bad if you don’t get XP from gameplay.
1000% agree. I hate this challenge crap they brought from MCC. Let me just play the dam game and unlock stuff. Add having to wait for new challenges and its just a CHORE
The whole do X with Y to unlock Z is annoying. Look at how successful CoD is. You literally just level up based on time played.

I 100% agree with op, they need to make exp farmable with performance and challenges can be a boost (exactly how mcc works)
