XP required for Spartan Rank Increase

How is the XP required for each rank increase calculated?

I noticed that after each new rank, the XP required for the next rank varies - some are as high as 90,000 XP while some are as low as 12,000 XP.

In addition to that chart, you can see that every 15 levels the Xp does a small reset, it’s similar to the ranking system in MCC or prestige in call of duty.
