Now I’m not one to do these long winded rants that take a good hour to write then I get a 2 word reply, so I’ll keep this short. So I have decided to play some Halo 4 recently whilst all my other friends were sweating some other game. After playing about 4 matches, my most recent match was something out of the extraordinary. I was playing SWAT, now then I don’t know what was up with my team but I think they were either new or they didn’t really know what the F they were doing. I hit a brilliant 43 kills and 3 deaths. Now bare in mind I’m absolutely shocking at Halo and I don’t tend to do this well. In my rejoice I managed to win the game, however for such a brilliant game I only received the 2938 XP I get after every other ordinary match I play. As I didn’t get any challenges that game I was extremely upset with the minimal Experience Points I received.
If anyone else understands my hate towards the lack of effort that went into the XP managing then please post a response to this below.
Please don’t moan at me for sounding like an A**, understand my view and take it into consideration.
I checked your game history and did not find this 43-3 however I did find a 46-12 which is still incredibly impressive and something only a skilled player could really achieve (calling yourself a shocking player would be lying) even if the opponents were crap. But the fact you went 46-12 was because of the opponents you faced. I you were to be matched against a player such as myself (with a 50 in SWAT) would you have gone 46-12? I’m not taking your achievement away from you, however you must ask yourself the question, because the players you played against posed little challenge (resulting in a good gameplay) do you deserve more credits?
Secondly, credits mean nothing. Your SR is nothing but a rank that shows the amount of time you have put into the game. The SR is nothing but a meaningless rank, not a showcase of skill. Its fine to care about SR and wanting to increase it, but getting worked up about it, no.
If you want to care about a worthwhile rank, try increase your CSR. The CSR is a showcase of skill.

This. Also, you’ll be a SR130 in no time. Most of us have been for months and months :-/
Yeah, I suppose that sounds about right. Sorry for complaining but you know, it’s just the way some people get things out their system. If somethings bugging me then I normally say something about it and you know what, I rally don’t care what SR I am but sometimes it bugs me you know. (Oh and yeah, I suppose my opponents were pretty bad.)
I agree with OP. It always bugs me that you get the most XP just for playing. Sure, you get some more for winning, but why not make winning the match have a significantly higher payout and add in extra payout for personal performance?
-15 minutes in Spartan Ops gives more than triple the xp that Wargames does in the same time. Even if you barely do anything. I power leveled to 130 by playing Spartan Ops over and over (and man was that dreadful).
-Imbalance between gametypes. Some gametypes are harder or more time consuming, but still give out basically the same XP.
-Commendations are imbalanced (15k xp for a monthly challenge, versus 5k exp for each, simple daily challenge, and 2k xp for beating a long, difficult campaign mission).
I agree with Ramir that there are quite a few imbalances. how about in matchmaking give a 250 exp boost to 3rd 500 to second and 1k bonus exp to first place? if you do consistently well then you can level up faster.
maybe for campaign give 2k on easy or normal 3.5k on heroic and 4.5k on legendary with bonuses based on what skulls you activate, for instance activating iron on legendary would give you 5.5 or 6k exp… or have it as a multiplier so people get lots more points for turning on all skulls.
