His point is that just because YOU say something does not mean its right. i agree with him… to be honest, i did not give a -Yoink- about what my 1-50 was in halo 3… i mean winning or losing a game does not determine skill, if anything it should be based off of K/D ratio in Slayer type games. How many objectives you capture/seconds in territory or hill in objective type games.
but i do hope there is a skill matching system so i don’t get put in bad teams all the time like i do in Reach

I’m sorry to see that you think so little of the game’s abilities to entertain.
Honestly, if the only way to breed competitiveness and fun in Halo is for some sort of skill rating system, then the game does not deserve to be played. Games need to be fun on their merits alone, and nothing as simple as a skill rating will change that.

1-50 is not returning and that for a good reason, I do think there will be some kind of system, but a new and improved (not 1-50, not arena). Still, ranked games is no big deal since a majority tends to play social, and games with no rank at all outsells halo (CoD), I can’t think of any 360 game on the top 20 where ranked playlists has bigger population then unranked.

You’re also forgetting bloom, a terrible true skill system, bad maps, and loadouts that weren’t implemented properly among other things. So no, it wasn’t just because of no ranking system or loadouts in general.
