First off I don’t mind the ten dollars for the pass for a season, as that’s in line with /other/ games as well. I really hate to make this comparison, but maybe you need to look at Bungie and how they did Destiny’s pass…
What I DO have a problem with is the fact after a day of playing you aren’t even out of level 1? This is nothing like what we play tested in the beta and it was arbitrarily changed for no apparent reason. This is frustrating and really off putting on how it was forcibly slowed to such an extent.
Were that not bad enough the cost of things is utterly insane. Ten dollars here, twenty dollars there… just for cosmetics. Last I checked I didn’t have kotick’s income and 60+ bucks for the first bit of cosmetics is about a tank of gas now. I’m sure there are those that can afford to throw money at the wall and be happy with it, but even major content creators like Mint do not like this.
The most annoying part is certain things require me to play game types I’m 100% not interested in. I was never a social game player and things like Oddball, King, and so forth never interested me. So, being forced to play other modes just to progress through the pass? Nope.
Frankly you’ve priced and paced yourself out doing this. If that’s the way it’s going to be I simply will NOT bother with it. I’ll play PVP as a plain blueberry rather than spend ridiculous amounts of money for shiny. This needs to be completely overhauled or reverted to how it was in the play testing and even THAT was too slow.
I didn’t play thousands of hours of Halo 2 and 3 for my flaming head, katana and scout armor… to it then be relegated to purchase only now.
That said. I’m primarily here for the campaign and my primary focus won’t be PVP, but please don’t ruin this before the game even releases. I will not forget the mess that was Halo 5 and my legendary box continues to collect dust with the statue never unpacked. This is your chance at redemption for the majority here… keep that in mind before you think of lining your pockets. We do not need a “we’re listening” response to this either, Bungie wore that trick out and you need to be better than Bungie.
