I’m sure this glitch is widely known, but I will explain it anyways:
You are able to use Warzone XP Boosts in Arena matches by queuing for a Warzone match, applying a boost, and then quickly switching to any Arena playlist.
This glitch has been around for a while, but I am on the fence about using it. On the one hand, I would be using the boosts that I earned through playing (albeit the wrong ones) and the 152 grind would go much faster. But on the other hand, I feel bad for using it I guess? I am so fixated on doing the grind “legit” but I worry that I’m just wasting my time by not using it.
Do you think I would be justified in using the glitch or should I stick to my guns and do it the old-fashioned way?
I wasn’t aware of this glitch. There’s some ethical concerns there, but as much XP as I’ve been robbed out of in this game by various other bugs,(a common one being getting placed into a game of warzone, not being able to apply a boost as its a game-in-progress, then it starts into a fresh game anyway, that you now have to play through entirely without a boost) I say go for it. Its getting to that point where you gotta do what you gotta do. Plus, I have been having a hard time lately getting Rare Arena Boosts in any of the packs. They come about as frequently as legendaries for me. So go for it! Lol
If it’s in the game then it’s on the devs for it being there. Unless it’s removed there’s no reason you should avoid it. If it really mattered 343i would’ve stepped in to fix it by now given how old the game is.
Pretty sure I saw something on Twitter from one of the 343i devs saving they’re able to track people who do this and may take action on them.
This was shortly after Mythic became a full time playlist so it was a little while back now.
Either way, I personally wouldn’t use it considering the possibility of bans. It’s been around for a while and may not have been fixed but a exploit is still a exploit.

I think you’re better off just not promoting exploits and playing normally to be honest.
If you’re grinding XP getting a ban or for a few days is going to halt your progress pretty good.
In the long term you’re probably better just using the correctly allocated boosts.
I’ve heard of people doing this. Didn’t seem like anyone got banned or in any trouble (cant be too careful tho with the banhammer). I personally dont have an ethical issue with it.
You really shouldn’t feel bad for using it. The fact that 343 basically forces people to play warzone/firefight if they want to ever reach SR 152 is unacceptable. Just use your boosts in the real game, not in -Yoink- side modes.
People wouldnt have to exploit the game if 343 actually gave enough xp rewards out. But the hey thats using common sense.

Specifically in Arena, I understand not increasing the xp payout to be too easy but the imbalance between MWZFF bugs me because I am not being hyperbolic when i say that in my experience arena searches take 5x-7x the search length as MWZFF which is my least favorite game mode.
At this point I have almost become a sadist who would prefer 343 just lower the MWZFF xp payout just to make it feel less like I am being absolutely punished by the company for playing my prefered objective games and end up winning a match with a rare xp boost and still only finishing with 3.5k xp for a 15 minute match (20+ minutes if we start including search and loading times), even the double xp rotationals fail to get close to the same payout. Given the profit incentive that exists with MT in the WZ playlists the imbalance leaves an especially bitter taste in my mouth.
I know that lowering xp in MWZFF would be super unpopular, and I agree that this exploit would actually be prefered imo even though I will never use it (seems like a bit of work to pull of tbh and I don’t even have any Legendary WZ boosts left). Still, I just wish something was done to close the divide between the MWZFF and the entire rest of the core game.

I completely get what you are saying but that would just make less people want to grind. Yes lower the XP for WZF but almost match it with Arena so you still get enough XP to have hope but doesnt just give it away ya know.
The issue here is that MWFF was not a core gamemode. It was a weekend only “event” mode.
So it had higher XP being so.
They moved it to permanent playlist due to lots of requests and they left the XP as it was.
Their choice was either leave it with the extra XP and no one complains, or change the XP payout more in line with the other core modes and everyone would complain… so they left it.
They did however remove the permanent double XP that mythic has last year, and everyone complained, and a lot stopped the grind completely so a few weeks later they reversed it and put double XP back onto it. That’s why there is such a difference, it’s due to it being a double XP mode all the time as default now
