Hey so here I am following the masses making this thread but I am truelly disappointed with the exp cap. I love love live this game and think the Add ins in multiplayer are great. I’ve also never played much but slayer so this lack of game modes doesn’t bother me. I just hate that I have a full time job scaffolding and a serious relationship yet when I have a weekend day off and want to vegetate in front of my Xbox for hours playing my favourite game series of all time I get punished by hitting a cap after just a few hours. It makes me so mad that I bought the halo 4 Xbox and the triton war hammer headset and was ready to play halo for the next year yet I probably won’t even be SR 50 by then… (that’s exaggerating but still) … Guess I’ll have to switch back to regular old COD on Tuesday… Sucks but at least I’ll be rewarded for loving the game instead of PP slapped
I’m with you. Who cares what level you reach in the game? I would rather have the CR cap in Halo Reach rather than in Halo 4. With having an XP cap it’s going to make people trade in the game for Black Ops 2 or another game that doesn’t limit them on what they can or can’t do. Heck I’m a journalist and being told I can’t earn XP even if its in game challenges is BS. Yeah, I know it’s meant to have fun but some people like playing and ranking up.
Honestly, once I see the fixes they’ll bring or if they’ll increase the cap or heck even get rid of it I’ll be only playing on and off. Once Black Ops 2 comes out you’ll be seeing me on that playing like crazy. Heck I’m not really a huge COD fan so that’s bad.
Quit playing 10+ hours a day then. I have not hit the xp cap once and thats with double xp.
I played for about 6 hours the day it came out…no xp cap. I haven’t been trying to get commendations or challenges, I’ll get them when I get them, and I’m not using any double xp stuff. I have yet to run into the cap.
You know there are other things to do, right? Besides, when they add the CSR you can worry about getting 50’s instead of unlocking everything. Until then, deal.
I dont like the cap only beacuse its blocking me from reaching the new specializations. I have only reached it three times so far and I am rank 46. I just hit it an hour ago and just put down the game. I do like playing it for the fun, but none of my friends are online and playing with random people and not earning the points I am getting annoys me a tad. When Black ops 2 comes out ill have another game along with skyrim, Mass effect 3, and Forza to keep me entertained in my off hours after a cap is hit.
I am a busy college student so I really dont have time aside from weekends to play, and hitting the cap and halting my progress just makes me stop playing it. Anyway thats my take on it.
Doubt you play it a lot since you have Double XP. If you did you would’ve hit it a few times already.
How many points do you have to earn to hit the cap?
I play 10 hours a day and don’t hit the cap, of course it isn’t nonstop Multiplayer.
You can have too much of a good thing.
