XP cap = no point in playing

people will all say yeah there is still a point and that is to play just for fun, but when you keep playing all of the commendations and challenges you get you don’t get the XP for.

So to me there is no point to play if I’m going to miss out on things like that after I worked hard to get 200 kils with what ever so I should get the XP for it.

I know a lot of people have made threads about this and that’s because its a problem, I didn’t have work today so I sat down to play a good game of halo, now I’m bored out of my mind and wont even play spartan ops because I will miss out on potential XP.

If I use up all my commendations it will be impossible to level up fast and it will suck and I will be even more bored.

I can only play so many times a week because I work, on my day off when I have nothing else to do I like to play halo 4 now that its out but I hit the cap

Make sure to vote, I want to know what people think even if they don’t care about it.

They would consider me a casual player cause I don’t play that often, but when i do I play competitively nd would consider myself a competitive player.

Fun is fun. I remember playing Halo CE back in the day. No exp or anything.
I don’t let xp or anything of that sort get in the way. All that other stuff is just the icing on the cake.

What is the XP cap?

Pal, you would probably have to play for hours on end before you hit the point where you weren’t getting XP for your matches. The cap is around the 75k mark. You know, I must ask you, how can you stand to play for that long? I eventually end up with a headache or something and go outside for a bit.

When it affects what guns you unlock its annoying to me, and I have no clue what the cap is but I’m at it.

I haven’t even hit the xp cap yet. Quit playing so much and you won’t hit it.

I spend my whole week outside cutting down trees, and it wasn’t hard to hit the cap I reached it in like two hours.

I understand AFKers and stuff like that but there has to be a different way to make it so that doesn’t happen and AFKers should be banned

75k? Geez that’s a lot. I had a lot of free time today too, but I can’t stomach that much Halo at once.

You have a point but some people don’t want awards that give XP to be counted but never given after cap. I can understand hitting a cap but why limit the challenges? If you want to limit those on top of the normal XP. Get rid of the CHALLENGES!

Don’t you like unlock all the major guns in the wee-early levels anyways??

I hit the limit in about 2 hours of gameplay. I wish 343 would remove it or at least raise it like 200k or something so outrageous only a person who was intentionally boosting would cap it.

matters what you choose to unlock and how you spend your spartan points

They probably will.
They said that they were just testing how fast people reached the limit this week.
They’ll end up raising it to similar levels in reach or around that.

Gunna Bump.

After having lost the monthly challenges XP to this im still petty pissed

I don’t believe that for a second. I didn’t reach the cap in 5+ hours of playing and if I did, I didn’t notice because it seriously is not that big of a deal. If you decided to use all the double xp stuff, then it MIGHT be possible to reach the cap in 2 hours…but seriously…

which one?!?! if its the one that requires 117 wins I would be absolutely pissed!!! that one is worth so much XP

They promote double XP so why have a cap??? seems like this wasnt planned out very well

yeah, it was >.<

I’ve hit the cap four times thus far, and it’s a joke after a while for completionists like myself.
I want to hurry and unlock everything else. I shouldn’t be penalized for playing the game a great deal.
And, before people tell me “to play less.” No, I cleared my schedule for a full two weeks purely for the game alone. A break from class so happened to conveniently manage to place itself during Halo 4’s drop weeks.
The XP cap is getting annoying, and it’s getting annoying fast.
I’m also irked at the loss of 10+ games of DewXP.

Curious, since I am unable to look at your recent games.

What did you do/play to get to the cap in 2 hours?

Did you use double exp caps?
