Since the announcement of the Halo Infinite reward for hitting SR152 in H5, I now have an interest in reaching SR152, I know right now is double XP ( great time to grind and double your efforts btw) so my question is, does the XP boost cancel out the double XP, does it build on to it, or does it apply before double XP is applied?
It just adds to it.
What I do know is that if you use an XP boost on a double XP playlist it would count sort of like triple XP. For example, you get 2,000 XP on a regular playlist without boost, on a featured double XP playlist (or global like right now) would obviously be like 4,000 XP and if you use an XP boost would be like 6,000 XP depending on the rarity of your XP boost. Those are just soft numbers for example but for your inquiry it will not cancel your double XP boost if you use a card, it stacks up but not as a 4x value. I think it works this way, someone correct me if I’m wrong.
I once used a legendary XP boost (kill A.I) on heroic firefight while the playlist was double XP and got about 28,000 XP.
Well I actually played two games of heroic warzone firefight today and I used legendary XP boost … I got just over 20k a game. Usually, and pretty sure I am remembering correctly, I used to get around 16-17k a game with a legendary boost in that playlist. So I am guess the boost adds on after the initial amount of XP is doubled.

Nothing gets canceled out here instead you get three bonuses
- Double XP
2.Boosts
3.Completion of the game
These three total up in to your total amount of XP at the end of each game.
