It’s frustrating having the XP boost toner count down while I’m waiting several minutes to join a match. The XP boosts should count down when you’re actually in a game, not waiting for a match to load.

Yeah, it was so stupid when I first tried the boost and saw the timer ticking down outside matches. I’ve stopped using them, hoping they change it to in game time only.
I’m in Hong Kong and I’m not sure how popular Halo is in Asia, so I’ll probably be waiting longer than people in Europe and the Americas

I’m not positive, but I believe that they are looking into making 2 x XPs count per match as opposed to running time when they introduce performance-based XP and your XP-based Spartan rank. They’ve been talking about it since launch so hopefully we get it with Season 3. Hopefully 1 boost counts for 3+ matches so the value stays generally the same or increases.
This came up previously when it was 30 minutes, which is when they changed it to 60 minutes as a temporary fix. As far as I know 343 are still looking into it, although it’s not likely to be high on priority list.
