Hello guys,
I am just wondering what an xp ban is and how long it is for.
This morning I won’t up to start playing halo 4 and on the menu it said that I had a xp ban. I have no idea why last night I let my girlfriends brother play and he did nothing wrong because i checked the replays on theater. No boosting or no AFC nothing like that just playing the game like everyone else does.So I am wondering how could this have come by and Do you know how long this will last?
If it is the first time it should be only 24 hours, a XP ban won’t allow you to earn any xp you can still play any playlist but won’t earn XP.

Thats very odd, I never had that happen to me. If this helps I believe it’s for a week and what made this happen is the game thinks you were cheating. If this is not true I would message a 343 employee about it. Hopefully that helps dude ^^

I know that there are a couple of people who have been banned for some things that are not explicitly spelled out that fall under the guise of unsportsmanlike conduct. One fella told me he got a ban for driving enemies around on his warthog too much.

If you have multiple zero kill games, you may be flagged for AFKing activity.
That’s all I can assume to be honest 
EDIT: Looks like what was said below confirms my assumptions.
I just looked at your game history. You had 7 or 8 games without any score what so ever and it didn’t have a DNF (meaning you didn’t quit). That likely triggered an automatic ban of some sort.

Dude are you serious, that is ridiculous. Do you have a video or a link to where he talks about this?
I’d say you were banned for AFC-ing. In seven of some of your recent games, you were getting no kills, and your guest was getting kills.

I would assume you have to do quite a lot of this to get a ban though. I don’t seek out enemies to drive around but if I fall into driving one by accident I, um, drive him to my teammates so they can kill him for me? I AM A GOOD TEAMMATE I SWEAR! That being said I have never gotten a ban of any kind on Halo 4.
If you haven’t done it yet, you could try campaign on another difficulty while the ban is in effect.

I’ve played half the campaign and well that was with some people I met and well i find games more fun when I have people to play with. How Do the Edit the Name of it?
I recently signed in a guest and played some regicide to get plasma pistol kills off him. I didnt do it too much because I was afraid of a game ban. The system still somehow found out about it and I was banned from earning exp for 1 day. LOL - I hit 130 in early December and dont earn exp anyways. I figure that was for a 1st offense and the penaltys will get stiffer if I were to continue. No need to do it anymore as I only did it at the end for the last 100 kills or so… I will take a 1 day exp ban for 100 pp kills any day - especially since im already a SR130.

I’m disappointed to read this Dadiola - I knew you were getting a lot of commendations completed (I remember reading your tips to help me with Perfections which helped a lot) but I thought you were getting them all legitimately. I earned the PP in Regicide - it’s possible to get it normally without having to sign in a guest account.

LOL - sorry to disappoint. I did get 90% of the pp kills legitimately…I just got impatient for the last 100 or so…it was late/I was tired and i wanted to get it over with. All the other weapons I have maxed with normal gameplay.
