xim mouse and keyboard adapter in halo 4

so here is the link to prove it is not against microsofts xbox live ToS to use an xim adapter http://www.xim3.com/community/index.php?topic=9535.0

So I’m sitting on my leather recliner, got my beer hat on, how do I use a mouse/keyb while in this awesomely comfortable position on manliness.

You use your brain… you know, the thing inside your head.

I play at my computer desk, because that’s how FPS games are really meant to be played. I’m using a Logitech G700 Wireless mouse, & a Razer Nostromo Keypad.

LIKE A BOSS!

Your still bound the the xbox controller sensitivity and axis movement along with the Aim assist drag.

XIM3 isnt as big as of an advantage as it could be because of that.

Sitting at your desk with hundreds of quids worth of equipment, or the guy chilling on his sofa with a base controller and his feet up with a beer…

I know which one is more like a “BOSS” to me lol

so your point is?

…so 1 hand on the mouse and the other on the keyboard? There’s an advantage to this? Enlighten me… Regardless, common sence tells me that this would not be a violation.

not being funny but doesnt a mouse and keyboard give you a edge over every 1 else who uses a controller. as you can be very acurate with a mouse. and also it may state that on the link that theres no ms law on using a mouse and you can get away with it. somehow i think you is gonna get banned. maybe im wrong but i think its considered cheating. and ip bans have been issued to people in the past for wot you have choosen to discuss.

You think I don’t already know that?

“Implying that you can play better while sitting on a couch… with a gamepad”

-_-’

Pad user thinks he can beat my K&M huh???

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!

The XIM3/Edge does not, I repeat… DOES NOT give players an advantage. All it does is provide other alternatives for playing games. There are those (including me) that simply cannot play well with a controller, because honestly… they are for kids.

Also, as the OP has already stated, MS won’t ban you. It is a third-party device, so it does not violate the ToS.

Sorry pad user on couch with hat full of drink beats everthing you just said and also has better skin colour.

Because of the obscene magnetism in Halo 4 I would imagine the XIM and a controller would be VERY closely matched.

I mean, after all, you just have to look in the general direction of someone to score a kill easily.

In Halo 3 through? XIM would most likely dominate.

So by what you are saying OP is that I have more skill then you because I can use a “worse” kind of interface to beat you.

Thanks OP I always knew I was better then the PC master race. You just confirmed it for me 8P

Edit: Sorry OP it’s Pfffff or how ever you spell your name that I should be using

Yes, anyone who does something different is beneath you. Get off your high horse.

Go watch some youtube videos of some of these guys gameplay with K&M and tell me it’s not an advantage, cause boy they sure can turn super fast and aim super fine. It’s like having LS on 3, but still being able to turn around like it’s on 10. That’s the advantage. They could give us these options in the game so we could use them with our 360 controller (ATT:343), they just don’t. Not being a hater, just saying. I think I’ll stick to my trusty 360 controller for now.

But isn’t using a Mouse/Keyboard for FPS’s like using a steering wheel for racing games?

What’s that? Baby needs his bottle, and nappy changed?

How about you grow up junior.

Okay didn’t read OP.

but
Mouse and keyboard has its advantages.

you do get better aim. I don’t know how it works in halo 4, but on halo 2 vista, if you are using a controller, you get aim assist and bullet magnestiam. If you are using a mouse, you do not. If you get the AA and BM with the mouse, that would be an aim advantage (Even tho its already terribly easy to aim on halo 4 anyway)

Personally I find general movement to be harder on the keyboard.

edit: just watched some gameplay with a guy using the light rifle, a weapon that has little aim assist or BM, and the guy was struggling with it vs bad players, even people standing still. Just saying. He missed more than 50% of his shots even though he never missed with the dmr. (like i said early, it is super easy to use the dmr anyway)

he actually misses quite alot lol

Fix’d.

^ lol.

-Yoink!- or Man, the choice is yours.

Microsoft wanted to integrate PC multiplayer with Xbox 360, until they did a research involving the best Console shooter team against average PC gamers. The console team did not stand a chance against the PC-gamers, not because they weren’t skilled, but because of the enormous advantage a mouse gives.

Allowing Mouse and Keyboard on the Xbox is very unfair for the people using a controller - There is just no comparison for precision.

Here’s a link to some Quake M/K vs Controller Gameplay.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJN1VvfHO4M

Now, just think of a sniper in Halo 4 with aim assist, and bullet-magnetism + M/K vs a sniper using a controller. Actually, think of any other weapon for that matter … and try to imagine who will win most of the time.

One of the whole points to console gaming is to offer an alternative to PC gaming. In this case, keyboard and mouse. Once you take into consideration almost all console games are created with the contoller in mind, and not keyboard and mouse, it becomes obvious that it’s not about personal preference at all. What it’s actually about is people looking to get any advantage by any means necessary. If you want to play fps games with a keyboard and mouse you have that option on the PC. If you want to play them with a controller you have a console. What is so hard to understand about this? Or that using a keyboard + mouse setup on a console grants a ridiculous advantage?
